      Hello Rod, very pleased considering that I have limited the amount of fertilisers by only adding lime and organic muck. Filled my barrels last night while planting my Beetroot and because it makes quite alot of noise I was able to tell when they were nearly full. Happy as larry with my Red Onion.

      My old caravan shower pump didn't last long having to push water down the allotment so this gravity system will help the cheep pump. My Liquid Plants Food is doing its job, quality not quantity.

    I bought a couple of pumps off the car boot sales for next to nothing but as yet done nothing with mine, But after watching you it as given me a couple of ideas... I noticed you have duck weed in your pond Terry. I would watch that because it will take over you pond in next to no time and suffokate everything in there including your fish

    • @terrykingsallotmentgardening
      @terrykingsallotmentgardening  6 лет назад +1

      I have used freebys for 3 years so spending some of my money will be worth while, looking forward to seeing what you get up to. The fish have been keeping on top of it as I don't feed them, but with this warm weather its building up so I will collect what I can, thankyou for the reminder.

      @@terrykingsallotmentgardening hey thanks for your reply. If I can just ask for your advice. Have you attached your older pump with an electric cord for powering the pump? If so how & what did you use & will that apply to the newer model (red-white-blue) as well? Finally can it be used with a timer & water butt? Sorry for all the questions & I really appreciate your help. Many thanks.

    • @terrykingsallotmentgardening
      @terrykingsallotmentgardening  4 года назад +2

      @@shayb9424 My solar panel charges the battery's and the power is distributed by the solar controller to the switches and then I have used the extension cable to be able to pump water from different places around the allotments. Not gone into timers, but anything is possible. Check my playlists for videos related to this subject.

    Hiya.
    Where did you get the plastic protectors for your salad? And is your 1100 pump powerful enough if you put a sprinkler head on the end to water crops. Good vid 👌

    • @terrykingsallotmentgardening
      @terrykingsallotmentgardening  6 лет назад +1

      The pump may be powerful, but I do like to limit the amount of water to each plant as I only have 8000ltrs of rain water when everything is full. The plastic protectors are recycled street lamp covers, Warwickshire have changed the Street Lighting to LED's and I was the only person who has any and saw there potential.

      If you watch omy new videos on a tour you will see a massive difference and 6300ltrs of barrels all linked together.

    Hi Terry, I'm looking to make an automated watering system for greenhouse. Can you give me the details for the pump please?

      Do a Google search for 12v water pumps and they all come up and there are plenty of choices, unable to post a link from my tablet.

    I'm glad to see your set up is going to work for you. I was shocked to see the kind of flow your're getting from it. Is there any way you could make a drip irrigation from that even if it's for the beds closest to the barrels or is that not plausible?👍

    • @terrykingsallotmentgardening
