Saint Francisville is about two hours or less north (up river) of NO depending on traffic and north of BR. I’ve heard both versions growing up in the area. One being there was a new slave girl that caught the master’s eye and she wanted to make them sick then nurse them back to health to win him back, but she measured incorrectly putting too much oleander in the batter. There is a book that guest write in about experiences. A friend and I are going to stay there. I had friends that stayed overnight and heard footsteps outside the room, but when they opened the door no one was there. Really, you can find quite a few haunted places along the Mississippi down here. I can go on and on with stories. Some with personal experiences, but this post is already too long.

I’m from Louisiana and went on a field trip there in the 8th grade. There were 3 encounters that didn’t sit right with me. The weirdest was a story told while touring of the homeowners throwing extravagant parties & everyone would show up in their best attire blah blah blah. Leaving, looking out the window of the bus was a pale white lady in a huge black and white trimmed dress, wearing gloves holding an umbrella standing on the porch waving the bus with a creepy smile. I looked around & a couple of kids were standing looking out the window but no one reacted to her or even questioned it. Later on I asked a few people I noticed was looking out the window if they saw her, they all said no so I always wondered about that part.

What is your zodiac sign? The full birthchart helps…but I noticed people with a Pisces sun or strong Pieces placements in their charts see spirits/entities easily.
I would add Scorpio, Capricorn, Virgo and Aquarius signs after that.

I’ve never known a Taurus or Leo to see spirits or experience it on a “regular” basis, like the other signs mentioned. Especially myself, with those placements being strong in my chart (my sun, moon, rising, Venus, and mars).
I would have to look at the entire chart of those particular Tauruses and Leo’s. I think those signs have more “intuition” and “feeling” vs actually “seeing” the spirit/entities.

I'm glad you reminded people of the abuse and injustice. I grew up in Louisiana and I met a woman years ago when I was about 5 years old. It was around 1975. She was in a nursing home in Louisiana that my school visited. They did not know her accurate age but she said she was 115 years old. Which she would of been born around 1860. I always ask please add and subtract. We were told she was born into slavery.
I hung around her talked with her . Next year same thing when the class visited. She told me things. Two plantation s were mentioned. And I told her when I grew up I would go there for her. Some of her family worked and died there.
As far as Chloe. I was told. She was tortured by the man. His wife only had girls . He was flirting with a younger woman and her family was well off and he wanted a son to carry on his name. Divorce would of been scandalous. So without hesitation he poisoned the cake himself. Of course he never ate any of it. He blamed Chloe, which wouldn't of been hard. Then he was free to remarry.
There was yellow fever outbreak before that also.
I go back for her every year. And for my best friend and husband. She was a beautiful person. Thank you so much for recognising there was more than one story.

My home used to be full of Spirits. Especially outside at night. I've asked them to please leave the home but they are welcome to stay outside just not welcome inside of the home. They don't bother me at all. I've learned to live with it. I don't have a door bell but you can hear it ringing and sometimes there's a knock at my door. My mother stated that a man named Mr. Bill used to own my home before my father purchased the home. My mother informed me that Mr. Bill , loves to eat boiled chicken. And also my mother's home is also full of Spirits . Especially near the pond, my mother stated, that slaves still wonders our land where she lives . At night you can hear children laughing and playing. I remember when I was little this lady always would show up at the dining room window singing. I would just stare at her while she sang until it was time for me to go to bed. My father passed away in 2001 at night in my mother's home you can still hear his foot step in the hall-way. My grandmother also passed away and she still visits the land also.

I just wanna share this here because I've told other people but they dont react at all lol. I love old houses built in the 18 early 1900s! My husband and I went house hunting. This house was a beautiful yellow and white cottage style home on the corner of this college suburb in cleveland Ohio. The home surprisingly had 3 small stories. The very top floor was the A frame bedroom. There was a picture of a white woman with long black hair centered. They said she was the original family owner of the home from the late 1800s. The 2nd level was a totally different picture frame of the same woman! the guy said she was the 3rd generation owner, my husband and I immediately looked at each other. The 1st floor was the most recent owner of the 4th generation granddaughter born in the 50s in ohio. Yall, that was the same damn woman lol. I opened the basement door, ( not on the spiritual journey that im on now so about 10yrs ago) and all i saw was hung herbs over our head before you enter the basement. My husband's and i silently and mutually agreed on hell naw😂 I understand now they were a collection of sage bundles and other dried herbs to keep them spirits from coming up outta the depths of hell😂 I wasnt scared. I did Williamsburg VA haunted tour after!

Why hasn’t anyone reacted and been very curious about this story, it’s actually fascinating? I find it strange that the realtor didn’t even flinch or glance to see if you and your husband were realizing the inconsistency of his historical information concerning the owner in the frame, and the picture itself. Yes, family members can look alike, but seriously??

My duplex was haunted by a woman and her 11 year old daughter who'd recently moved in, she moved from another state in the mid 80s, to hide from her abusive ex husband. She also had a 3 year old daughter who was unharmed. The woman suffered a broken leg from the abuse and stayed in bed upstairs most of the time. Somehow, she became familiar with a man in the area and from what I was told, because I'd moved in from another state as well with two sons, the man gained access to the home, R'd the mom, opened her neck and left her in her bed/ my room and did the same to the 11 year old downstairs in the livingroom. The 3 year old hid, unharmed in a storage area under the stairs and at the site of her sister's death. The man responsible was said to have run from the duplex to nearby train tracks and unalived himself after someone came to check on the woman due to not seeing her or the children for several days. The person peeked inside the slightly opened curtains to see a little girl lying on the floor in a pool of blood from a deep cut to her throat and called the police who were across the street. They man responsible was said to have run to the nearby train tracks and unalived himself to avoid street justice and prosecution. Fast-forward to early 2007, my youngest son told me that a small dark figure was in our home and his room, it would wake him up between 2:30 and 3:30 am and it was hard for him to get proper rest for school. One morning, he came into my room and asked if I turned the heat off,it was ice cold in only his room and we could see our breath. This was in February, by March my son was drown by a group of young adults and teenagers. Afterwards, my 1 year old grandson came to live with me and this is where things really got interesting. I wanted to hand write my son's biography and attach it to the business we'd started and other words would be forced onto the paper, my grandson's toys would go off at once especially on April Fools day, my son's chair at the kitchen table would move while visitors, a priest watched and a large marble would slowly drop down the stairs next door every night at 11:10. I asked the lady next door who had a young daughter of 8 years, if she heard the noise at night and she answered no but, while cleaning...found a large marble in her daughter's bed. The duplexes and new playground has been torn down and half million dollar homes with no real living space have replaced them, just before I could retrieve a pane of glass in my son's room with his handprint.

I went on a camping trip back in the 1990s with Girl Scouts. In Alabama and the cabins were absolutely hunted. There was a storm and screen door kept clashing shut, so I hooked it and closed the door. It kept unlocking. Finally after going over the next cabin to check the girls, we kept hearing a girl crying. I stayed a while after praying with until they were all asleep. Got back to next and fell asleep. Then someone touched me I opened my eyes but couldn’t call for help. There two other adults there sleeping but couldn’t hear me. There’s a lot more. Till this day I believe in spirits and often talk to them.

There’s an old movie about the second family with flashbacks to the original family. I grew up in a haunted apartment building over 200 years old. The front was a Victorian and the back was a plantation style home joined together by the hallway. We had shadow people in the hallways, full body apparitions, noises of people running around on the floors above when the units were empty, and something that would growl in my bedroom when I got older and started experimenting with guys my age. I think I’d be okay spending a few nights at the plantation getting to know the spirits that’d want to communicate.

I also want to mention that I wasn’t the most sober person that night because I had multiple glasses of wine to alleviate the hypervigilence. Lol our room felt eerie and it was definitely a sleepless night for my cousin and I. I recall waking up in the middle of the night and my chest felt so HEAVY that I could not go back to sleep. My cousin and I ended up sitting on the front porch to get some fresh air. When we decided to go back inside, there was this smell of perfume that we did NOT smell before, and it wasn’t a modern scent, it smelled like a vintage perfume. The random smell of perfume was confirmation that there was a presence in our room, but it didn’t feel malevolent, almost as if the presence/spirit was inviting us back into the room. I actually lived in a very haunted house for 4 years. A mother murdered her two kids and botched her suicide in the place I unbeknownst chose to call my home. They actually have an episode on her on the Deadly Women show. Christina Riggs. I’m a very grown man and I’ll openly say those 4 years living there has scarred me for life!

In high school we went there and let’s just say it’s no joke!
When we got there , the windows would open by themselves , the curtains open and shut and you can just feel the energy was off.
A classmate left without an earring ( the ghost client lost her ear and takes them from folks that visit)

Nothing actually happened except for “feelings” in the middle of the night we left out of the Myrtles and found a Holiday Inn. We went back the next day tho. It’s very eery but we never saw anything.

Notice how areas rich in vegetation and biodiversity often coincide with vibrant spirituality, and are places where cultural blends have resulted from external forces like colonization. Acting as a meeting point for diverse cultures from around the world. It’s in the equator where the blending of peoples and traditions happened. As if between the earth forces exchanges, which is like a huge crossroad because it’s in the same center. This phenomenon sheds light on the similarities between subtropical regions like Louisiana & Caribbean nations such as Cuba and Puerto Rico, all of which showcase a rich tapestry of spiritual beliefs and natural diversity. The creole, African Latinos, indigenous mixtures & all in between. Additionally, it's fascinating to consider that the Bermuda Triangle, situated near tropical locales like San Juan, Puerto Rico, Miami, FL, and Bermuda, is renowned for its mysterious phenomenas.
