Really dug this tune, very nice. A lot of people get wrapped up in "this band is Christian". Christian, vegan, bowlers, bikers, chefs or crochet club attendees don't matter to me. Rockers. That's what they are. Love that double bass pound and the guitar riffs!
The band explains the meaning of this song is that some people turn their back on God until they need Him. Then when God doesn’t answer their prayer like they want, they feel God forsaken...but it’s by their own choice.
One of the best Christian bands. First album a landmark. This song is one of their best. Also check out “Crucifix” from same album. “Jesus Wept” also great song.
Nice reaction, love the expressions! Yes they are Christian. Some of my favorite heavier songs are Unbound, Ash, Jesus Wept, Storm the Gates of Hell, Relentless Intolerance, Cut to Fit...just to name a few.
I saw them live 2008 and 2022. I met the drummer Yogi he was a really laid back down to earth guy. My favorite album of theirs is storm the gates of hell. Some of my favorite songs by them are Jesus wept, on my side, carry me down, my throat is an open grave, and not ready to die. And yes they are Christian metal.
DH Is another one of my favorite bands lol. Amazing song , first album I ran into by them used to jam it all the time in high school. You HAVE to tryout "I don't believe you" by them. Its very melodic, and Ryan's voice REALLY Shines through on that one to me.
Demon Hunter is in fact a Christian metal band. The old Christian book store in my area that used to be open had their CD's on sell almost every time I went there to buy something. Their ok I guess. I'm more of a 1980's early 1990's heavy metal fan. I like groups like Messiah Prophet, Barren Cross, Petra, Holy Soldier, Haven, The Brave, Guardian, Stryper, X Sinner, Saint, and Bloodgood. I grew up in a non Christian home in the 1980's and grew up on MTV from 1983 thru 1991. When my Mom remarried, my stepdad would not allow me to listen to "secular" bands, so I found alternatives in the Christian metal scene. Funny thing is after all those years in 2016 I received Christ as my Savior and now I no longer really care for nonChristian music that much, I now prefer the Christian music better. That's just my experience. But yes I used to own several hundred secular cassettes back in the 1980's and early 1990's until my parents divorced. One ofnthe bands I listed X Sinner I instantly loved because they sound almost like AC/DC. Barren Cross has a bit of a Iron Maiden vibe, and some of them have their own sound. Speaking of which, one of my favorite Petra albums is called Not Of This World due to it has a bit of a Pink Floyd sound to it that reminds me of Wish You Were Here album. Enjoyed watching your first listen to the second song of Demon Hunter.
Shane Diablo have you ever heard The Brave and their album Battle Cries from 1992. They tend to remind me of some aspects of Scorpion, Def Leppard, Brittany Fox and possibly some others. Their a Christian band. The whole album to me is all good. I don't remember a bad song on the whole album. If your interested you can find them on RUclips. I think you might like them even though they are not super heavy.
Not bad at all - I liked this track better than Gasoline - and when the band photo came up I did remember them as the "backyard BBQ guys"! I found the sound similar to other bands I have heard on SXM Octane (but I am not well read on by any means) like Hellyeah and Skillet...I believe the latter are considered Christian metal as well but I am not certain.....
Yeah Skillet got their start in Christian concert circuit. They had a hard time getting their sound figured out back in the 90s, but I definitely like what they've done since settling in and going mainstream. Gotta respect a lady who can wield drum sticks and handle vocals at the same time to supplement John's lead vocals.
Demon Hunter are much, much heavier than anything Skillet has ever done, though they do have a couple ballads per album as well and have mellowed a good bit over time.
They arent christian metal. Just because you infuse religion into a song doesnt mean your christian metal. People really need to look up the history of heavy metal music.
I understand, I thought they had mentioned they are christian, just like Slayer sing about the sweet lord of the under realm but Tom is a Christian man..
@@ShaneDiablo Metal Music has a history if you research it like I have where it was formed first in garages and was music for the disenfranchised, the angry, and violent prone people as an outlet for their emotions. .Metal music depicts mythical creatures, gods, devil's, wars of men against gods and/or devil's, kingdoms and empires in its lyrics. Of course metal music evolved over the years but it still holds true to its origins. The problem is Religious groups that railed against such music turned it into a tool to get more people particularly younger people into their faith hence the terms like "Christian Rock" or "Christian Metal". Now it's become a whole genre that spread like a plague so now whenever someone injects what metal music is into their songs in any reference to God then people automatically assume they're of the Christian Rock persuasion. Demon Hunter has come out and said they dislike when people refer to them as Christian Metal. The problem is people infer just based off what they hear from others and just don't understand the Metal genre as much as they should if they did the research.

They are an openly Christian band... Jesus Wept would be a great choice for a reaction.
Agreed with previous comment, “Jesus Wept” is an insane jam!!! Thank U for reviewing DH
One of my favs...
You should definitely check out “Stein’s Theme” by Project 86. Seems like something you’d really like.
The Showdown songs “Heavy Lies The Crown” and song “Man Called Hell”...you’ll be glad you did. Also a Christian band.
they are a christian metal band..really enjoyed this one thanks mr D

They have consistently gotten more and more technical over the years. Very highly proficient ar this point. Yes, they are Christian
Can you react to Jesus Wept and Ash by Demon Hunter? Love these reactions 👍🏻

That was allright !

They do consider themselves a Christian band. And they are metalcore. So it is safe to call them Christian metal.
@@matthewcosby5371 No they don't. The dislike that labeling. Either reread my OP or do the research into metal musics history like I have.
