Hey, everyone! Thanks for watching and especially for liking, subscribing and commenting! I've been amazed at the response to be honest, having not done this before. Now that my RUclips debut is out of the way, I'm already planning my next few videos....stick with me though, I'm a natural born procrastinator!!
I had the same questions. In the end I purchased the neo. Watching how fun FPV flying looks in videos...... sold me and is something I will now be able to try in the future. There are pros and cons to each one and in the end it depends if your going to use it more for cinematography or for fun.
Thanks for commenting. I'm also really keen to try FPV and hopefully one day I'll give it a go...it does look incredibly good fun. Neo is just a way into every type of drone flying, just so versatile.
I also have one of each of the drones. I use each one for different scenarios the mini 4K primarily for really windy conditions because of the wind rating. The Neo is great to pull out along with my action camera to get some killer shots that I wouldn’t be able to get with just the action camera alone.
I recently bought a Mini 4k. I looked at the Neo, but for what I want from a drone, the Neo doesnt cut it. Where the Neo excels, I think, is for those that want to capture themselves. Its more ego-centric if you like.....certainly aimed at the younger generation who love to post images and video of themselves on social media. For me, I want a drone that will provide pretty decent vidoes of things/places of interest. I am not about to upload images of me messing around etc on any form of social media.....but then I'm old! I was also able to get the Mini 4k FlyMore deal for £299.
Hi, thanks for the comment, and wow, that's an absolute bargain price. It amazes me how much you can get for your money. I love the mini4k, but some of the flying I've been doing, at lower altitudes, makes me uncomfortable! Obstacle avoidance eon the more expensive drones would ease my mind, but the Neo gives me that option for less cash. The selfie modes are, for me, something I'll use occasionally, but I think I'll be using it more for tighter spaces, just giving me something different. I love flying the mini 4k and agree it's the better tool for the job you're talking about. Hopefully we'll get some decent weather to do more of that soon!
I am going to be is starting with the NEO is the best idea in my opinion. but defo get the n3 controller i say too as the extra options with the controller can help too. Good video. When i open my NEO @xmas i might start putting some shots from it on my channel too.
Hey, thanks for the comments! Neo with an N3 gives you so many possibilities, and on nice day the picture quality is decent. Warning to your loved ones though, if flying indoors, put the lights on, strap everything down and turn the tv up!! :-) Have a great xmas.
You're missing a big point of the neo it's got fpv capability I've had several dji drones & always wanted fpv but couldn't afford it. The neo has a lot of pros compared to the minis especially for the price with fpv goggles & hand controller as its so versatile the only main downside for me is the short running time but I've got a fly more combo so still get 30+ minutes in the air
I do feel like I'm missing out on the FPV thing....one day I'll get there. I also take a 65w battery pack with me, so can keep the battery's cycling on charge. Thanks for the comment!
Pas de vol en immersion avec le spartiate 4k , non égocentrique ( dixit 1 commentaire!!) et plutot le drone de grand papa qui filme le bout de son jardin le mini 4 comme l'a fait comprendre la video est un drone pour personnes âgées qui utilisent ce sympathique 4 k entrée de gamme comme on raconte des histoires à ses petits enfants devant la cheminée en attendant papa Noël : super excitant , un drone pour EPHAD, et je trouve ce mini 4k très adaptée pour le troisième age et c'est formidable parce que ca change du canevas ou de l'ennuie interminable qui règne hélas dans ces établissement, bravo le mini 4 k mais je préfère le neo plus polyvalent et plus dynamique ( fpv simplifié avec l'excellent motion controller 3)
I didn't use the term 'egocentric' as a perjoritive. I simply meant that, in my opinion, the Neo is more suited to recording fun stuff of yourself etc...great for social media. I agree that its ease of use means it is more accessible to many.

100% agree with that. Mini 4k in the wind shocked me the first time I used it, the stability of footage is superb. All the best!
