i'm 20 and think that marillion are one of the most underated bands in the world. They are truly amazing musicians. first band to pioneer the internet as a form of marketing. Wow
The dumbest thing I ever did was ask h to sign a picture disc of Market Square Heroes which also had Fish's signature on it...I was 14 or 15 and just a huge fan, but a bit naive. He rejected me, quite humorously, in front a crowd of people, but I understood. He said "you wouldn't ask me to sign a David Bowie record, would you?" But I still love h, & Marillion as much as ever. Traveled to the Netherlands with my Dad to see them, & they will always hold a special place in my heart!
You betcha Alan. Actually It's 4 "Pre-Orders" to date. Your right, Record labels would love us, but I'm sure they hate us. Also radio stations. Years back the rebelious thing to do was, Produce your own music. Look what Marillion has done! In regards to the "Marillion Weekends", thousands involved, and no one knows except us. They are their own entity.I must be honest, A Marillion fan is as special as the Band themselves. Lots of passion between both! Maybe I'll see you in Montreal in 2015. :)
