In Korea, we got our first major snowstorm here in Korea! Woo-hoo... a perfect excuse to go to the market and pick up some ingredients. Tonight, we show you how to make late-night udon noodles at home! The key is a delicious but simple udon soup base. You can make it with just a few key ingredient.

You guys are the cutest! Thanks for a lovely video! Will be making this on my 2nd day off.
you all prolly dont care at all but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..?
I was dumb forgot my login password. I would love any assistance you can offer me
@Yehuda Jacob Instablaster :)
Realistically they probably would not interact with anyone like how it is in the real world
You guys are so cute!
You and Katie are soooo cute. Love how she brought a chair to the stove. Same.
Loveee!! Omg I understood Katie’s Korean she said “I’m hungry” hehehe.
Lol I love how Katie keeps saying “I’m home!” For Hontsuyu 😂 I’m learning Japanese also, and I probably do that kind of thing all the time too
Lol yeah I'm not really paying attention to the video and i heard tadaima several times i was like, did they have a guest while recording? 😂😂
I liked that you showed basic version and then upgraded supreme version. Thank you
I really like how you phrased that udon was relaxing in onsen
Pro tip: if you have a cat they'll eat the boiled bonito flakes after you're done with them and a dog will eat both the bonito and kombu (you might have to cut the kombu up depending the dog) but i recommend mixing it with their food. Both items are super healthy for pets.
I was literally on the phone with my mother last night to ask about her recipe for udon! Perfect time for a nice bowl of udon 🥰
"Did you see it relaxing into the Onsen?"
*DYING*
You guys are absolutely the cutest 😭😭😭 I love you guys together so much... I hope I find someone like you guys found each other 🥺 and thank you for the recipe!! I’ll definitely be using it!! Deliciousness at its simplest yet finest~
It’s been raining heavily in Singapore so I made this dish today for lunch - wow it’s so easy yet taste so good! It tasted like a warm hug :) Thanks Daniel and Katie for making Asian cooking accessible
This video cured my depression, thank you guys!! ありがとう :)
Heading to the Asian mrkt now...be right back!!! blessings neighbors!!!
Seeing you two just warms my heart! I wish I had neighbors like you when I lived in Korea. Both recipes look yummy and I can’t wait to try them ❤️
Second! Whoop whoop!
I had udon the first time when I was in Seoul and craved them ever since! In the meantime I collected quite a number of ways to make them but those simple recipes are the best! Clean and light!
Watching your videos is so relaxing. The vibes you and Katie give off are just so calm and nice😌 love your videos!
That looks like Fun with your wifey in the snow ground and you have a NY style of dance it’s great. Love your food channel.
Love the little vlog snippets and your editing!
Such a cute video! Every time KT says "tadaima?" in that cute little voice I want to go "Okaerinasai!" This video soothes my Japanese heart haha. i should make udon....
This recipe is the bomb!!! I made it yesterday and it was totally delicious. There was some left over broth that I used up today and it was even better!!! This is going to become an absolute keeper on the menu.
I like watching you guys walk around your neighborhood! It'd be neat to see what Korean grocery stores look like for us here in the US!
I’m so envious of all that snow! So fun to see you guys playing in it! The udon dish looks soooo good and simple!
Best Comfy Cozy and Fun Video! Love This!
I’ve done the second version without the egg but now I definitely want to try it with!
This is the greatest cooking channel. You two are amazing. Blessings!
Some times I'm Daniel, cooking tasty meals but some other times I'm Katie waiting for them lol

LOL!!!! You guys are SO hilarious! I love it! I enjoyed the video ~watching from Norfolk, Virginia~
I have been craving udon and got all the ingredients yesterday at the market! This will be a PERFECT winter lunch!
my laziest midnight udon: boil frozen udon noodles in a bit of water, then add a dashi powder sachet and a spoonful of soy sauce ... then throw in some salty roasted seaweed and white sesame! i like your version better haha
I agree with Katie, it is a super bowl!!!
Looks delicious
Thank you for sharing such delicious and beautiful dishes.
You kids are the cutest.
the second udon is how i have mine. its too good
I love the chewy bouncey texture of udon noodles!
Just tried Daniel's version of udon and OH MY GOODNESS it was so easy and delicious!!! ABSOLUTELY LOVE ALL OF THE RECIPES I'VE TRIED RECREATING FROM YOUR CHANNEL. Cannot wait to see more of your videos

Wow, nice snow. Just had udon yesterday but it was stir fry. I’m definitely making your version #2. I like my soups a little hearty. Plus we’re also getting snow today! Perfect.

Love it Neighbor, love it!
I freaking love you guys!!!!! You guys are awesome!!! 🤣❤️👌🏻
I just discovered you guys! Great channel. You guys remind me so much of "Aaron and Claire". (Another Korean cooking channel I love.)
This looks so tasty.
Katie is ridiculously adorable and full of aegyo.💖
Its raining two days in Queensland Australia, where is our summer??? So good you bring the soup, I am a happy lady again. Thank you. Happy New Year.
I love udon!😊😊😊
I loved the snow angel by Katie! I always have a bag of katsuoboshi flakes in my cupboard because I love miso soup! I'm happy to find new ways to use it too!
Daniel, try Togarishi. It's a spice blend from Japan that's pretty tasty on just about everything.
looks beautiful
I love you guys! You guys are so cute, especially Katie! Love it!
You guys are cute! I think you shot this a couple of days ago when it was heavily snowing in Korea. The snow angel and snowman were great! I will defo try this recipe, thank you! I’m already craving😅
Ohh Daniel - you know how to speak Japanese also!! Impressive! 👏👏👏
Ok! I watched to the end of the video and you explained you lived in Japan as well - so that explains it! Very cool!
...Dang. You have some pretty good plating / presentation skills; that udon looks great ;_;
Love making udon with my tteukbaegi - I can't stand when my soup gets cold before I'm done eating!
I love ur dishes.....
Lol thats true about the lack of spiciness in Japan.
Well wasabi and sichimi is, but it attacks ur nose more
You helped me solve some mystery here. I disliked the powder flavor packets so I watched videos of udon restaurants-mainly ASMR -no explanation. I will try your version
Lovely
Nice snow
watching this at midnight when I have none of the ingredients was a mistake.
BYE WHEN SHE STARTED MOVING HER HEAD IN THE SNOW LMAOOO
You're so right that the Japanese can't do spice! But have you ever had the chili powder blend at Ichiran Ramen? That stuff is so good I bought several boxes home with me, and now every time a friend goes to Japan I pay them to bring more back. It's so good!
Would you be able to do a video on best kitchen gadgets/ pots etc!
That looks soooo good. I gotta get those flakes and the soup soy sauce. I think I finally saw it and it says for soups. Yum. We r about to get really cold and possibly a dusting of snow. Not looking forward to that. Brrrrr
How Katie is saying "I'm back" in Japanese everytime she's supposed to translate something :D Adorable!
I like Korean food...
Too cute 😍😍
Loved the video! Btw how do you store your katsuobushi? I bought one but on the back it says 'refrigerate once opened and discard after 7 days'. Surely it should last longer than seven days right?
I like super bowl 😋
I love udon 🇯🇵 😘
OMG, its beautiful in your area
YUM!:)
Oh, you lived in Japan for a bit! No wonder you know so many Japanese terms. Let Katie know that the 本 hon in 本つゆ hontsuyu is the same as in 日本 Nihon 일본, maybe it will make it a little easier to remember. You guys are so cute, love the snow fun! 고마워요!
Dude I'm totally down with version 2.. Love udon. I learned about ramen and udon craziness when I was stationed @camp castle near TDC... But. Need KIMCHI
You lived in Japan? No wonder you know Japanesy stuff~ (Atama ga Baka...LOL) I like frozen udon microwaved for a few minutes - more chewy. 👍🏼 Daniel, can a request a recipe please! There's a KBBQ restaurant in Koreatown here in LA (one of the oldest) called Dong Il Jang which sadly just closed due to covid 😭. My favorite side dish there was Sogogi Twigim (spelling may be wrong) on their menu the English for that was Beef Tempura. The flavor was a tad sweet so to me, it was like deep fried marinated Bulgogi Beef? Since they closed and I've never seen this dish served anywhere else (I can't find the recipe online either) I would love to make it at home! Can you please make a video on it? Onegai shima~su! 🙇🏻 SanQ~
Большое спасибо за рецепт! Получилось очень вкусно, только водоросли мы заменили на укроп, бонито на сосиски, а удон на картошку, но все равно вышло замечательно!
What kind of pot do you use to cook in this video? I want to try and buy one!
watching at 11:30pm....
Where do you find the tofu pockets at? I've been looking for those at the international market for a few days. 🤔
She's so cute 🥰
When does it snow in Korea? One of my dream is to visit Korea ❤️
