@stefanwinter1377 theyre a reslly good band that mixes a lot of styles together mostly like dark industrial and post punk but theres also some ambient stuff, noise passages, and shoegaze, check out their song 'a quick one before the eternal worm devours Connecticut' it's the opener to their best album and this banjo players saying a really really similar pattern and the albums really fucking good
Actually, it’s not. It’s something I wrote. I’ve never heard of it before people mentioned it today, but definitely similar vibes AND it's on streaming services, and mine isn't
Listened to a famous Banjoist? Play with a Colombian harpist. That was a set. Thanks for the clip and for showing people it doesnt have to be clawhammer and moonshine all the time
@ oh yeah I have! I’ve listened to the whole soundtrack numerous times and have access to it but just haven’t been into video games at the right time to remember it. This Winter I’ll get around to it hopefully!
Joshua Lee Turner had already convinced me that banjo can be beautiful with his cover of the Swan Lake theme (it's on RUclips if anyone wants to look it up) and I'm glad to someone spreading love for this instrument-- especially with such a cool original song! Looking forward to hearing more!
Please listen to "Unkind - Saattokoti", it has hauntingly beautiful banjo lead and it might inspire you to make more music like this! An underrated instrumental piece. Please make more! :)
@@Capitated101 I just listened! That’s a really cool incorporation of banjo. They also use accordion as a sort of synth, which I’ve been experimenting a lot with too
Reverb, while cool, doesn't really convince me banjo is beautiful because it kind of masks the sound, especially when you added in the second one. I've always like banjo though, because I think kermit the frog and the muppet movie ;-)
The birth of banjogaze
Oo, I should try that
Sounds a lot like Sea, Swallow Me by the Cocteau twins! You play really nicely
A moment before the eternal worm devours Connecticut.
What?
@@stefanwinter1377"have a nice life" ever heard em?
@@zipzorp-eh1ey Nope, what's that?

Outer wilds has some peak banjo vibes
Already knew it was but this reminded me.
Fair enough
Song is "A Quick One Before the Eternal Worm Devours Appalachia" by Lizard in the Spring, BTW!
Actually, it’s not. It’s something I wrote. I’ve never heard of it before people mentioned it today, but definitely similar vibes AND it's on streaming services, and mine isn't
Banjo sounds so eerie when played slowly
Played slowly into reverb cranked to "EMPTY COLLOSEUM" sure.
Godspeed You! Banjo Emperor
Cool video. Here, have a like esteemed sir
I literally told the video, “Good luck, bro.” And, uh, I have had my mind changed about banjo. But just for this video. XD
I’ll take it! Thank you!
Duuuude this is so cool. I love how lost in the magical sounds you're making you are. Like the echo of chirping birds from an old memory.
I think I was more concentrating on not messing up but I’m glad you liked it!
I love the "hauntingly" beautiful songs that you play...so nice to listen and relax

Maybe when we die...we'll hear banjoes in heaven 🕊🕊 beautiful 🙏🙏
I was already convinced going into this, but this convinced me harder. Cheers

The banjo is so space vibes to me, reverb or not :) thank you for showing people the banjo is beautiful!
Have you heard of Outer Wilds?
@ oh yeah I have! I’ve listened to the whole soundtrack numerous times and have access to it but just haven’t been into video games at the right time to remember it. This Winter I’ll get around to it hopefully!

Wish I could play.
Wow, this genuinely made me tear up. Great work!
Nice. Surprised this doesn’t have thousands of views. Big Skyrim vibes.

Kinda gorgeous
It's like in the movies where the country guy ends up having to put on a tux and doesn't want to, but ends up looking really good. That's this video
Fuark now I need to pick up a banjo, this sounds awesome

Sometimes speed doesn’t equal pretty. For me, it’s just because I can’t play fast
now flood it with fuzz and reverb
That's not deliverence, that's summation.
Yah, that'll do it
What’s the difference between a banjo & a trampoline ?
You take your boots off to jump on a trampoline
I should be mad but I’m not
Noice
Can you play "i met this pretty rave girl"
@@YeshuaIsTheTruth on banjo? I don’t know how you hear it, but I can try. (Just give me a while, I’m in college lol)

Day 1 of requesting maple leaf rag on banjo🪕
Uhhhhh, I can try. I’m sure there’s people on RUclips who have already done it ten times better than I ever can though
the problem is I will always associate it with the end of the world or cowboys
Fair enough
Still dislike the banjo 🤷🏻♂️
