Nice car my first car was he 69 galaxy just like yours! Green with black interior the inside look brand-new had a 351 Windsor. 34 years ago I still miss that car!!!!!!!
Maybe from Ohio, but that car is definitely from AZ, NV originally. Lots of 'sun rust' on the body, and the interior is toast. That never happens to cars from Ohio lol. On an aside, that '69 deluxe steering wheel is damn-rare, looks good!
Nice score. These cars aren't worth a lot, but that is good, it makes them affordable. And you can't beat the old Ford fastbacks. $1500 for a solid car is well worth the price when you don't have fabricate and install patch panels. Looking forward to seeing the progress.
+JR Samples For sure. I really couldn't care less about dollar value. I have mostly trucks and they'll never be high dollar but the interest in huge and that makes me feel happy.
Congrats on your Galaxie. I think I'm buying a 1967 2 door within the next few days. Same color as yours. Lots of other Fords in the background I see. Must have sat a while, seeing the bias ply spare, plus explains your low mileage. You definitely have a car from the desert. I'm from Arizona and they never rust out there and were in use a lot longer than usual
And that's why American car enthusiasts make so much noise about dry state cars. Sure, the paint is sunburnt and the dash and front seat have been cooked but sorting those are easy compared to welding up a rusty wet state car which will never look totally "right" when it's done. I reckon $1500 must have been a bargain for just the shell, getting a complete car for that is absolute daylight robbery...
new windshield wipers for a busted windshield.. that's a line from "Christine". Hope you have better luck hahahaha. Finding one from this era with minimal rust is certainly a stroke of luck. Love the pre 1970 Fords xD
That is one of the nicer old Ford cars nicer than the Shit Stain, sorry I meant Mustang, lol Does itbhave an engine, it seems like the front end was sitting very high
Well if you not seen the update yet that he made a few days ago he put the moter from the Lincoln so it has the 351 V8 engine so i don,t know what happend to the Lincoln i think he may had got rid of it but i hope to hear from him soon!!
Awesome buy, Galaxy 500, predeccesor to the Torino. Did I mention, I have a cherry 88 Lincoln Town Car and getting ready to rebuild my 76 Torino Elite? What kind of heads do you recommend for a 351W? I have added an Edelbrock 4 bbl intake and Holley 600 cfm, rest stock. Or should I also upgrade the cam? Any feedback would be appreciated.
@0:25, just think of the 'nice old couple' that bought that Lincoln new. "Hey Helen! Look what I bought, a Lincoln!" 'Oh we don't need a big Lincoln like that...' Now look at it, so rundown. Helen and Dale would be so shocked to see it today : )

Mine was puke yellow w/black interior. And had a 351c instead. I miss it too! Burned many rear tires off of that car!
Great find man. 69 Gallies are VERY underrated. Can't wait to see how she comes along.
You didn't show us the engine; but looks like the front sits a bit high; is there an engine in it? Nice find, have fun fixing her up!
I think its Damn Cool! Rare Find!
My first car but mine was green !
nice comment about the radio, that should be a standard feature in any car.
I bought a '69 Galaxy in 1978. It had the 390 2 BBL. I dogged it out in a year, I was an 18 yr old goose.
Bitchin car man! But you're gonna have an ass of a time tracking down a clean dashboard for it, because it's a one year only dash, lol.
They're awesome. I had inevitably bought for $400!

That fastback rear window is usually on the XL.

Если бы у меня был такой форд, я бы тоже рассопливился от счастья.

smuens Awesome car, love the Torinos. Yes I would upgrade the cam and if you can, try to find a pair of gt40p heads off a late model explorer.
