This story was written 4,000 years ago and the Hazrat Noah flood story was written in Old Testament about 3,500 years ago. Which means there was a great flood, that people from Mesopotamia have in their collective unconscious, because it keeps appearing in all old stories and myths.

Sir, I've a question. Do you know any rationale for why most of mythological stories were poetic in form, rather prose? I understand people didn't know writing in those, but still if they could tell a tale, pros seems a more natural and easier option.

Hey, I think it was easier to sing and memorize stories in poetry than in prose, before alphabets were invented. When humans started prose writing, it was a huge step forward towards rationality, as poetry gives you license to talk irrational things also. Good point brother.
