installed 4 in the row below. no drilling needed in the row. used f150LED's. pricey, but all the harnesses and connectors did not require any cutting, just a few zip ties to secure the extra lengths. also you will be lucky if you don't break more than a few of the clips. be sure to get some extras.
Yes another video in the works. Came back to this Raptor to replace with new lights. 4 below double sided taped on. Handy thing with these beasts, lots of aftermarket options and support!
AWESOME video... i know a lot of people are looking for this so it's cool that you made a video of the install. I have the 4 down a bit lower because i couldn't find these and they are g rowing on me but i think if i were doing it again i would go with the three like you installed here. Cheers
Thanks a bunch legend, yeah I mean you could always go for these lights if one of the other lights burn out down the track that you already have. But that's it certainly is popularity for this aesthetic
How do you pull the grille now without cutting the power wire everytime? I'm thinking of maybe doing deutsch connectors from that tee junction so they can be pulled apart for removing the grille.
@@FordMercGuy awesome vid brother… patiently waiting for my Ranger raptor, should be done in a month or so, build date here in the states is June 1.. I’ve been looking for a video on this since they are just hitting the streets here. I’m going to get that kit on eBay and follow your vid! Good stuff !
Hi mate, not sure for XLT variant. Would have to get creative for their location placement. non Raptor/wild track models won't have the premium package that has the overhead aux switches. Ranger's with the factory aux switches will have the factory wiring of fuses/relays for the switches ready to go. For base models/not equipped with the premium pack, you'll need to do your own wiring from scratch for installing aftermarket lights m
You could message damian@trailbait.com.au and ask for some assistance. But I'd say if you have the overhead AUX switches and you can locate the same areas in engine bay for the power feed locations, that you'll be fine
Yeah they do look great. Wiring to Drls, It could be done, however warranty considerations for manual wiring into other circuits to be considered. We're based in SA, however do travel from time to time. Cheers mate!
Did you place the double sided top on top or bottom of the led? The opposite side seems to have this hard material attached. Am i suppose to sand it down to fit?
Certainly took some fiddling using my own tape only on one side. Using tape on both top and bottom surfaces, the unit wouldn't fit into the cavity. Ended up using tape on the bottom side and no tape on top side.
Can you please tell use where you go the diagram? You mention how it’s convenient to have but you dont mention where you downloaded from. Just shows on the phone. Also you actually connected the LED positive to the switch wire? You just show it already done. Thanks
Diagram is in the Ranger's Headunit in the settings of the Ranger stereo. This video shows it: ruclips.net/video/PJzZhAlsRns/видео.htmlsi=zrkjbesHfes89sJV Around the 4 minute mark. Correct, we have connected the positive wire feed of the lights, straight to the Raptor Aux switch feed wire as shown in the video.
@FordMercGuy could you do a video on showing how to replace a globe plus how to get the plastic off aswell on a 2005 Ford territory if possible it's the Ford Territory SX SY Interior Courtesy Roof Light Centre that I need help with
No offense, but you could/should have shown each step start to finish in stead of just finished. What size bit did you use to drill? Do the LEDs go through the hole or is it just the wire and they connect? What did you mess up on? What did you wish you knew before? What lessons about wiring and routing the wiring can you share? Why did you use wire protectors? How did you strip, connect the wires to the AUX 1? It's like looking up how to make a cake and the video is "here's the cake, I bought the ingredients at Wal-Mart, here's the pan I used, put it in this oven and cooked it, you can see the icing...yeah thanks for watching."
Hi mate, yes agreed! Nothing more frustrating looking for good info and a video doesn't deliver. In this case, it was a customer client car and timing didn't allow for a step by step video process like my other videos. However tried to capture the most important info for the job to help/guide in whatever way my info can. Cheers
For reference incase some are after more info: approx 3mm drill bit but lateral drilling to avoid too big a diameter, wiring put through the holes then connected from behind the grille. I wish I knew that the included tape seems a bit average but used my own tape to be on the safe side. Wire protectors used to avoid damage to the wiring itself over time. And the connecting of wires at aux 1 with heat shrink crimp terminals.
Trading in my 2022 raptor for a new 2024 raptor this weekend. I have grill LED lights on my 2022 and will be fitting on my 2024. Question, is the Aux 1 a switched live, meaning do you have to switch the Aux 1 for off/on or is it if you keep Aux 1 on will the light go off when you switch the vehicle off ?

We utilised bullet connectors for quick release on each set of power and earth wires on each light. Deutsch connectors good idea also!
Yes! Finally my first mod!
Nice and easy hey mate!! Still on your to do list? Or keen to do it now?

Much appreciated legend! Ah yes you can't wait to get stuck in with the mods. Glad the video can be of help. Let us know how you go!
Great vid. I'm wondering why you didn't use the switched supply to the day time running lights?
Thank you mate my client that owned the car wanted it on the manually switched overhead org switch selectable to turn the lights on and off at will
I love the video, it helped a lot.
Awesome news mate!! Thanks for dropping a comment

Hi - will the install be the same for Ford Everest Sport 2024?

Could you also wire them to the DRLs? Where are you located might have another job for you lol ! Looks great

Sweet setup. Rather than hook them to auxiliary switch, did you think about going direct to headlight or running light wires.
Never mind. Looks like someone already asked that below. Cheers
Warranty considerations too going elsewhere into sealed wiring. But using the headlight harness T-adaptors could be a way to do it!

i ordered the white to go with the white DRL's and a harness that ties them into the side marker lights US spec

Hey bro, I am looking a Ranger Raptor 2024 grille to buy on ebay and I need white led also
Grille either new from Ford dealer or 2nd hand from wrecker breaking 2nd hand parts places.
The white LED variants. Many styles on eBay and Amazon.
how big of the holes did you drill for the wires to pass?
Approx 2-3mm mate
@FordMercGuy could you do a video on showing how to replace a globe plus how to get the plastic off aswell on a 2005 Ford territory if possible it's the Ford Territory SX SY Interior Courtesy Roof Light Centre that I need help with
Hi mate where in AUS are you based?
Do you have a more detailed video
Hi mate unfortunately not.
I don’t want install them on aux channel .. I want them install them at the daytime running lights ..how do I do it ?
Best way would be to find the fuse for the DRLs and use a fuse tap to wire the power.
Yes this is a good way to do it!
Merci 🇫🇷🙏🏻😉👍🏻
No problem amigo!! 👊👊😁
