Russia’s Religious Persecution and Misinformation in Ukraine

- Russia’s religious persecution in Ukraine against various religious groups that do not align with the Kremlin's political agenda is staggering. Dozens of brutal persecution cases - including torture, illegal deportations, disappearances - of Orthodox Christians, Muslims, Protestants, Catholics, and Jehovah’s Witnesses have been documented since February 2022. Russia has been spreading misinformation and reversing the blame on Ukraine in order to continue exercising these abhorrent acts of human rights abuse and to use them to advance the Kremlin's political agenda.
Please join the Center for Strategic & International Studies for a timely and crucial discussion in order to shed light on the issue and seek practical solutions to hold Russia accountable.
Moderator: Elizabeth Hoffman, Director of Congressional and Government Affairs, CSIS.
Speakers:
Dr. Borys Gudziak, President of the Ukrainian Catholic University and Metropolitan-Archbishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia
Dr. Viktor Yelenskyi, Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnic Affairs and Freedom of Conscience
Dr. Catherine Wanner, Professor of History, Anthropology, and Religious Studies at Pennsylvania State University
Dr. Mark R. Elliott, Retired professor of European and Russian History at Asbury University, Wheaton College, Samford University, and Southern Wesleyan University, and editor emeritus of the East-West Church Report

Marvellous. As the last speaker said, this is an issue that doesn't get enough attention.
To the fans of Putin's brutal invasion who claim this is untrue, can you be specific? What was untrue? Because I suspect there will be plenty of evidence to back up the statements in this video.
If only more American Christians would realize what russians are doing to their Ukrainian brothers and sisters and do more to help! It makes no sense that so many professing Christians, even at the government level, are opposed to helping Ukrainians defend themselves.
Why are you lying for? Ukraine are the only one who closed churches down.
the ICC threw all charges out regarding Kyiv saying Russia had oppressed the tartar.
There are nearly 20 million Muslims in Russia. And a large orthodox Jewish community.
America hates Christians moron
Where is the Russian self defense?
Thank you for the information, it should be spread to all!💙💛
