I want to thank you for posting this video. Because of it I called into Hornby on Sunday and picked up three carriages (£15/each) and some track at a £1 / piece. I can now actually run my locos and Mallard and FS have something to pull - Thanks
Hello Phil ! Thank you for watching the video. Im really pleased you were able to get hold of some of the coaches too!, its made my day to know that one of our videos has finally been useful to someone 😂😂 Many thanks again, if i ever see anything else TT related at bargain prices at Hornby, ill let you know. Kind regards Martin
I picked up some of those Pullmans a few weeks back at a local pawn shop. Part of a deceased estate that somebody sold to them. Absolutely beautiful coaches by any measure.
They are so nice, very detailed and decorative. I get the same feeling when I see real-life versions when they occasionally appear on the local railways.
That was a nice little win there Martin. Its great when good people have good things happen. As for selling stuff to buy stuff, its like a revolving door here as my tastes in the hobby change more often than costumes at a Stevie Nicks concert. 😂
😂😂😂 Hello! Hope you are keeping well, It sound like we are very alike 😂 I'm one of those chaps with many hobbies and I cant remember a time where having to sell stuff to buy more stuff wasn't applicable 😂 ...Stevie Nicks concert 😂😂 Brilliant.
Some great bargains there. An advantage of living close to Margate. Pullmans: Much like OO the ones in the Scotsman set don't have lights. The ones with lights have to be bought individually.
Hello, thank you for watching the video 🙂 and thank you for clearing up the lights question ! Brilliant, I really appreciate it. Good to know that they are as Hornby intended.
Hello, they have extended their spring sale and a fair few items across the ranges in store, they have put some pictures up on their Facebook page which will give you some idea of what they have. There is always a shelf dedicated to discount locos, a small tray with unboxed /shelf worn or slightly damaged rolling stock and sometimes the odd loco in there. These coaches were in a small box on their own with some TT Track. I didn't take notice of how much the track was but all the coaches were £15 each. When i left on Wednesday there were 3 Pullmans and about 6 or 7 BR Mk1 Maroon coaches left. More than happy to pick some up and post them to you if there are any left on Sunday. 🙂
Ah Greg ! how are you sir? keeping well I hope. 😂😂As you say, the petrol costs may slightly out weigh the cost of the savings a little 😂 Always happy to keep an eye out for thing for you Greg, and if anything comes up, again i'm very, very happy to send thing to you my good man. If you have any particular rolling stock or locos you need me to look out for just send me a wish list email 😂 I am always up there and they always have a 'Sale corner'. Alternatively ill WhatsApp call you live from the shop and do a tour of the sale section 😂😂
Well done for snagging those bargains. The early release of the Pullmans were not light-fitted. Sorry to pick on you: quite a few YTers announce in their videos the sale of unneeded/unwanted railway items; it would be nice if your subscribers were given the opportunity to buy them. It doesn't mean you need to lose any money on the deal - just give them the opportunity. I dare say that it would involve extra work when we all live busy lives - but think on.
Hi Paul thanks for clearing things up with the lighting, great know. With regards to the selling items, again thank you for the heads up, I did think of mentioning it on here but wasn't sure if there was a YT thing, somewhere hidden in some weird small print in the back of beyond saying that YTers cant use it as some kind of selling platform or something. What I may do in future is simply a little mention with a link to my ebay sellers i.d in the description or something. Great heads up Paul, thanks very much.

Jealous of your bargains! Well done that man. Don’t think it’s worth the petrol money for a trip from up here!
