You will also get a MUCH better nose if you don't just slush mold it like you're doing. Put the latex in the mold and then mash the original cast of your nose into the new mold. Obviously, make sure you take off all of the sculpted clay first :D
Thank you so much for this! I'm currently in the process of making fake ears (not to wear, but as props to carry with me) and so far this is the best tutorial I've seen for liquid latex. Thanks so much!
Like the video , i can improve on my Grinch costume nose part with liquid latex now. I see also clay as an inbetween can still be pryied out without any mold release (that was an eye opener) ... But if you ever tried (plaster on plaster ) or (plaster on concrete products) you need a mold release. Apparently from what i see clay doesn't need a mold release on plaster though it may need to be cleaned out after the fact.
hey if you want to keep your brush clean after using the latex you put your brush before using it in the liquid soap , thanks for your video keep going
Even so i see you are still having a difficult time a little bit getting it out so maybe a mold release with the clay would work best if you got it. I just used clay as a thing to seal up the mold box edges or sculpt with but definitely cool it seems as its a crude inexpensive mold release as well for some materials.
Hey, basically you could use simple acrylic paint. But better would probably be to use ... Monster Makers Latex Mask Paint ... ( but this is more expensive). Make sure to check out the " How to make a Tree Bark Skin " tutorial ruclips.net/video/w3PCGxZ4h90/видео.html if you need some more info. (starting at 5:15 if you want to skip the rest)

What kind of clay do u use
Hi, as long as I properly use(apply and take off) the glue, these pieces are re-usable, correct? Thanks! This video is super helpful!
Yeah sure !
You HAVE to powder the latex while you peal it off, if you dont, it wil stick to itself and will never be realesed
Good vid, but would have been nice to see it on at the end. X
if i dont have a cast of my own nose, can i make the prosthetic on my face???
