Well Corey having the heart of a child may be the reason it also maybe the fact that Corey hit the object with the bat causing it to come to life to get revenge or simply to prevent it from getting hit again by the Cory it may be that the SCP will activate if someone were to hit it with a blunt object.

Can have a bad effect on someone in a physiological way if they spend too much time around it and Cory has spent plenty of time near both SCP’s so I think that may be part of the reason he acts like a child.

Apparently, it could reach beyond its containment cell to get the kids, so they moved it to Euclid. I think it also had to do with how many people were affected before it was raised to Euclid.
