- This week we're looking at the making of an 18ct white gold and diamond neckpiece that I had the pleasure of making to match an existing bracelet that our client had and loved.
This is a look at what happens behind the scenes in a goldsmith's workshop and how I approached this particular manufacturing project. It brought me such satisfaction to see it all come together in assembly knowing the dedication and attention I had paid to each separate part.
What would YOU call this style of necklace? Damia and I are undecided as to exactly which category it falls into. Please leave your opinion below and know that, from one goldsmith to another, we're thinking of you in the December madness.
We're so grateful to be a part of all the celebrations and special occasions that we are naturally a part of in this trade and feeling grateful to call this work.

Ever thought about having a round metal brace (screwed to the workbench) to make damn sure that quenching alcohol never goes crashing to the floor? That could be catastrophic. I have mine in a stainless steel container, which is inside a larger stainless steel container in case it ever tips. It would still be contained as opposed to running down my bench or on the floor.
The workshop is ever-evolving and tips like this don’t go unnoticed. Thanks 👍
I am very careful and have a lid for this jar, it’s yet to happen but that doesn’t mean it won’t.
Beautiful! I love how much you love your work. I have know though, why does it seem like your torch always burning in the background?
@@StatelyGemstones I just love having it on. Easy to grab and use 😊
How many man hours did this take from start to finish?
@@randallmccullough4404 it was done in between a whole lot of other work. Definitely didn’t keep to the hours on this one.
Which type of glue did you use?
@@Delulucii GluBoost. The red one.
