I love how older shows actually have real life scenarios of all kinds of things any child could be going through. I truly feel for Craig he doesn't deserve any of that and no child does.
once again: jake epstein is the ONLY person who could ever portray craig in such a deep and emotional way. anyone else wouldn't capture all of the flaws and scars he has.
wow.. seriously so sad.Craig's story is so touching. anyone who has to deal with that I am so sorry ! I really appreciate this show and how intense and real it feels ! i grew up watching this and here I am mid 20s and watching it again !!! this show is is awesome
I'm in my late 20's. One of my friends used to watch this show when we were in high school and I didn't give it a chance until I was in my early 20's. I started watching when Claire, Adam, and Eli first came on. I'm just now getting around to watching from the beginning.
I'm in my early 20's. I'm so glad i found these full episode of degrassi. this was definitely my favorite show in elementary and middle school. even though i didn't really appreciate how deep, touching, and real these story lines were until middle school. I stopped watching around the time after Drew, Claire, Ali, and Eli were main characters tho
miss cearraj this is my 3rd time watching every single show of degrassi over I remeber when I was 5 or 6 watching it not knowing what was going on I was scared so I turned it off
Ashley Kerwin average 13 year old season one, goth season two, alt punk rocker season three, and then finally London fashionista. They clearly did not know what to do with her character.
Craig's dad beats the shit out of him then gives him guilt money. Just like a boyfriend/husband with flowers. Terrible. Abusive people disgust me. People don't deserve to be treated like that.
I like how they have the old degrassi characters play a part in the young degrassi characters storylines that mirror what their characters went through in Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High. Like how in Degrassi Junior High Joey was the one that helped out a classmate that was getting hit by his dad. and Now Joey is helping Craig that was getting hit by his dad. Or like in Degrassi High Simpson found the body of a boy that killed himself and in Degrassi Next Gen Simpson talked to Eli, who found Cam's body.
Ok the scene where Craig's dad was breaking the door was like that iconic scene in The Shining, and the part where Sean and Craig are walking on the train tracks is like Stand By Me. Either they did that on purpose, or I am just way into Stephen King
It's such a coincidence that Joey's the one that deals with Craig and his abusive father and Joey's the one that found out his friend in degrassi Junior high was being abused too.
First time I saw these episodes I was in complete shocked. I thought how could a parent hurt their child. I started to cry. Later on in my life I suffered from abuse by my ungrateful step dad(even though I don't claim his as my step dad). My abuse wasn't physically abuse that Craig suffered. My abuse was verbally, emotionally, and mentally but it hurts just as bad as physically abuse. The man that abuse me is not in my life anymore, I blocked him on everything so he doesn't contact me in anyway. Anyways these episodes are very powerful. No one deserve to be abuse
Craig was such a tragic character 🤦♀️ I wish we could’ve got more insight on his mother and I guess the writers just forget Craig loved pictures and Joey was a real man for taking in Craig and dealing with him thru it all
Craig's dad is a very well-written character. He's not some nasty, one-dimensional monster. You get a sense that he DOES genuinely care about his son on some level, and feels bad about the horrible things he does to him.
Munro Chamber's agent- hey, wanna play a bipolar teenager in a fictional high school? Munro- sure, I'll do some research. *watches Craig's first two episodes* Munro's agent- NAILED IT!! :D :D :D
Watching the show all over again in my 20s is such a different feeling than when I watched it when I was in my 10s kinda age. Such realistic stories. They taught me so much that I can appreciate them now.
Déjà vu ! In Degrassi Junior High the 1980's original version Joey helps out a kid who gets abused by his father as well. I'm just now seeing this. It's been almost 7 years now that I'm rewatching this. Brings back memories. And I can so relate....
This is my first time watching all of this because I too young to understand what this all meant my heart hurts for people who have to go through all this.
Ediana Ventrice why r you telling future episode the comments r directed at this episode for people to talk about there thoughts and opinion of this episode dang people like you r so clueless
People can talk about their opinions whenever they want this is YOU TUBE... lol. That "future episode" is old AF & im pretty sure everyone already saw that episode so I'm not technically spoiling anything for other viewers & if they haven't seen the "holiday" episode then they are clearly living under a rock so in reality you are clueless thinking that I'm ruining things by mentioning future episodes when it was on television.
Well from th look at your icon you don't look young at all you pass for a 40 year old at least. Maybe you should put down the books and start with hair and makeup yourself .
Love this show. This show came on at the same time I was entering high school and I related so much. I'm so glad that I can watch it on here. Thanks for uploading.
I’ve been watching degrassi since I was 8. I learned every real life problem kids go through That my parents never taught me. This show doesn’t get as much credit as it deserves. It’s so powerful and real. It’s honest and talks about things people don’t want to bring up.
I just turned 20 and this was my show omg and to rewatch it again makes me love it even more. They were not afraid to talk about serious topics and I'm glad 13 reasons why is doing the same. We shouldn't act like these things dnt happen because they do everyday.
I’m glad Emma can’t mind her business. She saved Craig
The fact that Craig has that many locks on his door tells you something.
SweetDollyLolliPops ikr!
Sharon Cuello mhm.
That’s what I was thinking
"A dinosaur hurts him. He told me." And the tears came
I cried when she said "no".
"I don't...beat you..."
Bruh. You were about to beat him with a golf club.
LiveLong&LoveForever I hate that I laughed at this but it's so true.
Right???
Yeah he came in like Michael Freaking Myers. Or is it Jason either way, yeah.
Exactly, smh. I wonder what he calls it in his mind.
LiveFree&LoveForever right!😭🤦🏽♀️
Joey is the real MVP, he saved TWO kids from their abusive fathers (Rick and Craig)
MultiSkins4life TRUEEE OMG
bobby myers Rick from degrassi junior high(In the 80’s)
One of the realist episodes in this shows history. They made a good move introducing Craig on this topic. Makes him impossible to forget.
Won Jake Epstein an award as well.
Craig definitely showed signs of bipolar disorder way before we knew
its kinda funny im bipolar and i had no idea
kam frusciante true
kam frusciante IKR
kam frusciante re-watching it and knowing that he ends up getting it makes it more clear 😂
kam frusciante I love your profile pic. Huey Freeman is probably one of my favorite cartoon characters
Man Craig's dad was terrible he'd beat him then try to buy him off
ikr
Skyler Taylor just like miles, and his dad
kawaiis kawaiis Craigs dad beat his son way worse than Miles
Skyler Taylor Well Miles' dad was verbally abusive and that is just as destructive.
@@brianellyflores9084 who is Miles?
Having a stressful job is no excuse to beat your kids. My job is stressful and I don't put my hands on anybody.
@Mrs.2Pac/Freddie Mercury It's spelled facts, but you're right. That is saying something.
It was sad when Angela saw the bruises on Craig's stomach
CrazySkittleGirly ikr
CrazySkittleGirly ikr
Mxg AG ☹️
At the tracks Sean was like "dang this man crazier than me" lol
Jasmine Barbosa 😂
You can tell they were building him into a bipolar character. His acting is amazing though.
I can't be the only one who thinks JT looks like Jamie Lee Curtis.
Bro yes they're twins
He really does lol
I love how older shows actually have real life scenarios of all kinds of things any child could be going through. I truly feel for Craig he doesn't deserve any of that and no child does.
I know right. How could anyone hurt their child?
The emotion in this show. So real.
Antoine Bandele I agree very realistic at that.
once again: jake epstein is the ONLY person who could ever portray craig in such a deep and emotional way. anyone else wouldn't capture all of the flaws and scars he has.
How would you know that?
When Angela said "A dinosaur hurts him, he told me" I was thinking "come on dude you're 25 you can't tear up" :'(
wow.. seriously so sad.Craig's story is so touching. anyone who has to deal with that I am so sorry ! I really appreciate this show and how intense and real it feels ! i grew up watching this and here I am mid 20s and watching it again !!! this show is is awesome

miss cearraj this is my 3rd time watching every single show of degrassi over I remeber when I was 5 or 6 watching it not knowing what was going on I was scared so I turned it off
I LOVE IT
Yea I went through this with my dad still a little bit but I'm 16 so only a few years left watching this I feel so close to Craig
Ashley Kerwin average 13 year old season one, goth season two, alt punk rocker season three, and then finally London fashionista. They clearly did not know what to do with her character.
Meghan O'Brien idk a lot of real life kids go through different stages in middle/high school
Craig’s bipolar was showing w the bus thing
Craig's dad beats the shit out of him then gives him guilt money. Just like a boyfriend/husband with flowers. Terrible. Abusive people disgust me. People don't deserve to be treated like that.
d-taystee i know right!
dii4taii yeah I know if work is so stressful find something else
dey-dey it’s more hush money so he can keep quiet about people knowing he’s hitting him
Exactly!
Rick and terri
Every since someone commented that J.T looks like Jamie Lee Curtis I cannot unsee it 😂😂
Jake Epstein does so well at playing Craig. He seriously couldn't have done a better job.
was i the. only one who cried when Craig told joey about his father
I'm 32 and just made it w/o a tear....by a thread! The first 6 seasons of TNG never get old and I first watched it in 09.
Season 2 is when the show really started getting good
Joey really came through for Craig. He is such a good guy.
I like how they have the old degrassi characters play a part in the young degrassi characters storylines that mirror what their characters went through in Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High.
Like how in Degrassi Junior High Joey was the one that helped out a classmate that was getting hit by his dad. and Now Joey is helping Craig that was getting hit by his dad.

vide0lover couldn’t have said it better
Rick was the character in DJH that got abused by his dad
vide0lover ya I noticed that to
Yeah I've noticed they do that with each series. It's a nice touch.
vide0lover thanks for spoiling it
And thus began the unconditional love for Craig
I know right 😢😢❤
MariahMireles YES
LuckyStarz the characters people hate always make the show more dramatic.
T•T
Aww pore little angie. She loves her big brother. Pore thing don't know what's goimg on.
regis farrington damn I didn't see any pores on her face
This generation is absolutely the best.
This and the one on Netflix
Can we just talk about how toby's lashes are goals though
kishigod hobi!!
sis we been knew his lashes are AMAZINGGGG also i love hobi too 💜💜💜 happy early bday hoseok
My heart's breaking for Craig all over again ;(
Ok the scene where Craig's dad was breaking the door was like that iconic scene in The Shining, and the part where Sean and Craig are walking on the train tracks is like Stand By Me. Either they did that on purpose, or I am just way into Stephen King
He was showing signs of Bipolar Disorder in the early seasons.
Why does Paige carry on about a mullet when all she needs to do is condition and style her hair differently
Now i know why Craig was so messed up.
It's such a coincidence that Joey's the one that deals with Craig and his abusive father and Joey's the one that found out his friend in degrassi Junior high was being abused too.
geez could there be anymore advertisements lolol
summer martin right😂
First time I saw these episodes I was in complete shocked. I thought how could a parent hurt their child. I started to cry. Craig is such a sweetheart omg 😭
unoitnique Not when he dated two girls at once. Smh
unoitnique he is so not
not when he gets super into cocaine
Not when he got manny pregnant
9:27 Did his dad really get two VeggieTales VHS's for them to watch together? Bruh.
😂
I realized that Craig was trying to take Angie with him so that they would get to see each other & he would be free from his dad.
Heather Bascombe u are so adorable
Aww Craig's story is so sad and deep:(:(
Emma was out of place for letting Craig go off with Angela..
You can already tell the budget was higher for the show during the second season
This episode made me cry so much :'(
Same! I sat here crying while watching too...
Same here, cause I can relate to it
@multiskins4life sorry you had/have to go through that... I hope you know ur not alone
This mad man is a surgeon? I'd rather die than have that psycho operate on me!
Craig', Sean , Peter , jay , and spinner Emma loves troubled men
Theshyandticklish Black guy lmfaoo ikr
Theshyandticklish Black guy don't forget damien cause he aint shit too. chris only became a jerk cause the way she treated him.
+Karon Abdullah funny the black guys were gentlemen on this show and always disrespected 😂😂😂😂
When did emma like spinner?
She must because she married Spinner
Emma really glowed up from season 1 to season 2
Craig was such a tragic character 🤦♀️ I wish we could’ve got more insight on his mother and I guess the writers just forget Craig loved pictures and Joey was a real man for taking in Craig and dealing with him thru it all
Craig's bruises always made my stomach cringe.
craig's character is a really good actor. pulled off the role really well especially for degrassi
Sean has saved so many people's lives
It’s been years since I’ve watched this show. I’m realizing how awkward Craig spoke. Like a miniature Christopher Walken.
"He hits you, doesn't he? doesn't he?"
"Yeah, Yeah he does"
* ugly cries *
Craig was one of the best actors on that show, everything about him was so real.
Craig's dad is a very well-written character. He's not some nasty, one-dimensional monster. You get a sense that he DOES genuinely care about his son on some level, and feels bad about the horrible things he does to him.
Pwnisher249 I think he just cares about not ending up alone
He just seems manipulative af to me
Are you sure you talking about Craig's dad?
He obviously resents the mother, I Think he sees Craig as the last remaining piece and refuses to let go
Feels Bad? He didn't felt bad in the first part.
Munro Chamber's agent- hey, wanna play a bipolar teenager in a fictional high school?
Munro- sure, I'll do some research.
*watches Craig's first two episodes*
Munro's agent- NAILED IT!!
:D :D :D
My dad used to do this alot, beat me and then buy me off like nothing ever happened.
Oh man, I'm so sorry.
Stephan Rosa me too :/
So sorry man, hope it's better now :)
Stephan Rosa my dad used to beat, me but he never gave me money, he beat, me when I was 5-7 years old so I didn't know about child abuse and laws
Daniel The Great One, I hope you got help and he's stopped. I'm so sorry that happened to you
Watching the show all over again in my 20s is such a different feeling than when I watched it when I was in my 10s kinda age. Such realistic stories. They taught me so much that I can appreciate them now.
Looking back on it....... I realized how clear it was that Craig was bipolar.. this then the thing with ash...
Young Angies innocence makes her one of my favorite characters.
I remember when Joey was a goofball and now he's all grown 😭❤️
Craig’s dad is a total psycho
Craig's dad should go to jail
I agree
Déjà vu ! In Degrassi Junior High the 1980's original version Joey helps out a kid who gets abused by his father as well. I'm just now seeing this. It's been almost 7 years now that I'm rewatching this. Brings back memories. And I can so relate....
When JT said the joke he should have said Pepsi
Ataliah Underwood lol
Craig is displaying mania right here 😬
Lauren B yuh yuh
If we're going to have commercials please make them at reasonable time frames
“The dinosaur also likes boys names Craig” my heart.. ♥︎ that hurts.
Jt’s crush on Paige here is honestly the cutest thing
Degrassi use to be so raw
When Craig has to leave his father, my heart broke. I'm in literal tears😢
He had to leave his father because he wasn't safe with him.
I wonder how long they had him being bipolar in mind for because this episode in particular feels a lot like a manic episode.
This is hitting a little too close to home.........
ikr
Hitting! Hahaha
Malphas Mikaelson
My dude....
This is my first time watching all of this because I too young to understand what this all meant my heart hurts for people who have to go through all this.
Yanci Valverde same
Literally started crying in class, and my classmates laughed at me! lol
Morgan K hahahaha
Why are you on RUclips during class?
I really shouldn't laugh at the part where Craig was like "Sean told you that? Well, he's a liar....LIAR!!" but I do..every single time
I loved Craig but then I remember when he dated Manny & Ash at the same time 👎🏼
Ediana Ventrice and got her pregnant
To me that was the PINNACLE of Degrassi next to the school shooting.
Ediana Ventrice why r you telling future episode the comments r directed at this episode for people to talk about there thoughts and opinion of this episode dang people like you r so clueless
People can talk about their opinions whenever they want this is YOU TUBE... lol.

No one has a good life in this show
Hihatz the show wouldn't be good if they did lol
Hihatz Well it shows what people go though in real life. It wouldn't be interesting if there lives were perfect.
Omg when Craig started crying it hurt my heart..😞💔💔
Love this show. This show came on at the same time I was entering high school and I related so much. I'm so glad that I can watch it on here. Thanks for uploading.
This episode got to me like no other. It’s so real and emotional and Craig just wants to be with his sister and people who love him.
joey saved rick and now craig, i love the references to junior high
I’ve been watching degrassi since I was 8. I learned every real life problem kids go through That my parents never taught me. This show doesn’t get as much credit as it deserves. It’s so powerful and real. It’s honest and talks about things people don’t want to bring up.
What Craig’s dad does is so messed up. He pays his child to keep in quiet😑
this episode had more impact than half of the new seasons do combined. the train scene was incredible, kudos to the screenwriters and actors.
signs of the bi polar already
That dad has issues and he needs a lot like a lot of help
Craig loves that little girl with everything in him.
craig's whole storyline is heartbreaking omg
Craig’s bipolar reAlly comes out in this episode. So relatable
lol the videos that craig's dad set on the table was veggie tales wth? 😂
JT was such a romantic with Paige.
Aww Angie is so sweet. I really hope Craig gets a better family.
Craig was bipolar even way back to this episode
Go Joey!!! Save Craig! Love Sean, Emma and Angela helping Joey see the truth.
Gosh Craig's dad is a psychopath! Hope he gets arrested!
Craig had hella locks on his door
Craig is so twitchy and shady acting, I wonder if it's some sort of illness or if it's from being abused.Good acting regardless.
James Therian he seems to have paranoia and he seems kind of bipolar. He maybe be depressed as well.
If you've watched it all you'll know the answer :)
I just turned 20 and this was my show omg and to rewatch it again makes me love it even more. They were not afraid to talk about serious topics and I'm glad 13 reasons why is doing the same. We shouldn't act like these things dnt happen because they do everyday.
