Thank you very much! All the fish are very incredible. And no, they aren't where we are that's for sure. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment on the video!
I know I’m like a year and a half late. But if you want to catch a lot of mackerel around here, you gotta go early-mid summer, that’s when you’ll catch the most. I would suggest going to DeWolf park, there’s a big pier that I’ve caught 30+ off of in under 2 hours. I believe it was late July. I also suggest using a feather rig with a little mackerel jig on the end of it and just constantly reel it in. Anywhere along the east shore is good too. I’ve caught pollock and sea perch off the DeWolf park pier as well.
Very cool! Thank you for the information! It’s a far way from home for me but if I end up there again I will certainly try DeWolf Park! I appreciate the comment!
Off the docks I would go for some cut bait like mackerel which is native in this area. But worms would also work great. The little cunner and whatever else lives by the docks are scavengers and will rarely pass up any meat if it is presented correctly. Hope this helps.
@@deviousplott8066 You should be able to find it just by searching up Nova Scotia Tidal Fishing Regulations. If that doesn’t help then you could maybe contact a local tackle store and ask whatever questions you have or even call the fisheries department.
Absolutely. When you can locate a school of them. Its non-stop action. And when you get on a bigger size one. They fight like heck! Thanks for commenting and watching!
That looked like so much fun! I need a good east coast fishing trip! Such pretty fish and well how did they taste? (The mackerel not the pollock lol) or was the mackerel just for bait?
It was incredible. The East Coast is just full of beauty under and above the water! The mackerel had a bit of an oily and fishy taste but other than that they were great. Thank you so much for commenting and watching this episode.

Do you have any bait and lure recommendations for fishing off docks?
