In a perfect world mate. As soon as you get a bit of crap in the thread of the adjustment I promise it won’t ever self adjust again. The little metal part it to stop the star wheel from backing off.
@@jimnythings2410 Holding the star wheel in place is its secondary use, the main use of the metal part is to self adjust the brake. When you pull the handbrake or brake, it will turn the star wheel on its own, then it locks it so it doesnt turn the OTHER WAY. Yes these mechanism can get rusty and stuck tho
@@NjoyMoney which is why they require manual adjustment ☝️ mine hardly turns with a screw driver. I recon most sn413’s would probably be the same by this age
