Exactly, they getting tired of all these fake people there to start drama. What professional would want to work under those conditions. I get what Ryan is saying, but he needs to know that it isn't a good look for his business. And if production wants to show your business in a negative light and not focus on your business then forget it
Between this and what’s going on in New York and Compton, I don’t see this franchise lasting much longer if actual artists are suffering

If anything that whole situation with Caesar fucked up so many bags for black tattoo artists that was in the Black Ink Crew franchise, that's why they not only had to cancel the Compton season but they ended the Chicago season as well.
This show went from tattooing + drama, to drama - tattooing + drama squared.

Exactly! I loved it at first but the more they added non-Chicago folks in, the more drama and typical it became. Glad Ryan said enough is enough. He wouldn't have an empire messing around with VH1 and their shenanigans. Literally everyone who had extra messy drama...was an outsider not originally from Chicago. Charmaine included, she came up here just to play manager for the show season 1. Once Danni the original Chicago connection to her left, she became a drama storyline.
I love Ryan's growth. He learned from the past and now this is straight business.

I wish they could have kept it separate like NY did. Cease had his real artists tatting out of his real shop, and the cast tatted (and acted a fool) in a separate shop that was just for the show.

I think he wanted to be different like he said it’s a lifestyle show he wanted the real up and downs of tattooing but not just partying and drama
Maybe if they had specific days scheduled for filming and tattooing that they all knew about, it’d be easier. That way they can schedule their clients and allowing walk ins on no filming days. These artists want work and make their money.

Most shows have production schedules with set days of filming.
@@dahliageneen84 they make it seem like they don’t know the exact dates and times. I’m sure Ryan knows and the cast, but it seems like the actual artists don’t. Everyone need to know tho so they can schedule their clients and working hours accordingly.
Ryan said in the group chats alot of them not even taking the initiative to come in when production isn't around. it's always them going back and forth about somebody stepping up and attending to a client of a co worker that didn't show up.
It's not production..it's his team.

I love this show! It's good to see that the artists that are not included in the show are being heard. Please work it out.
The artists ended up being right though. Soon as the show was done, Kitty, Prince & Drea all left. They weren't there for 9 Mag. They was there for the check and exposure. On top of dealing with a film crew that directly impacts their business, it's no wonder as to why they're disgruntled.

Even though its a "lifestyle show", working & tattooing is a part of it. They barely show the tattoo side
I love how they broke the fourth wall. Cause usually the tattoo artist that actually tattoo that we see behind the scenes don't really get much recognition. Cause anytime I see someone that's not a part of the cast I'm just like "who this and where they come from". So, I'm glad that's begin discussed.
I can understand Jet's frustrations though. He is coming into work everyday, and the drama from the show is negative attention the shop is getting, and is drawing a lot of people away. Unlike a lot of the cast mates, he is there everyday working.

The reason why I love this scene is cause you got a little look at what the artist not on screen go thru. Ceasar opened his other shop I think so he make money while filming, and just focus 80% drama & 20% tattoos at the “main shop” which is cool. But I like how Ryan wants authenticity and wants it to show the life of his tattoo artists and of him running the business. One of the best scenes of the Black Ink franchise

I’m glad that they were able to talk about their frusta rations with the show. I have always thought these things about these shows where the cameras are in a storefront all day most of the time however, hardly any customers come through while they’re filming. Just goes to show that reality TV isn’t the dream that people hype it up to be.

It is more so that production restricts thier ability to gain clients due to filming schedule preventing certain people to be at the shop while filming add in the drama turns real potential customers away. The show also is meant to promote the artist tattoos but instead promotes people who don't work there and probably doesn't even tattoo.
