I can't help but think that the experiment is flawed. We know that sitting will be slower on a straight, we know that scrubbing while standing doesn't work. The question is really: "What is the effect of sitting in a corner on your lap time". I'm pretty shit at MXBikes, but I do understand experiment design and analytical analysis. If I was going to do this experiment, I would find a sector with a bumpy corner, and a smooth corner then only test that sector. A full lap has too many variables that can affect your time, and if you don't know the track really well, you should also be getting lap times as you go. Even doing the same experiment on a track that you know like the back of your hand would be much better. All that being said, I really liked the video and it's interesting to hear your thoughts on the differences you notice in your laps. I can appreciate both types of content, and it's great to see someone thinking about this for MXBikes. It's much better than the endless track review content that everyone else is doing.
The pub lobbies recently have been awful. Seems like every lobby theres somebody just taking people out, driving backwards, or vote kicking people. Sucks to see for the game.

I stand a ton when playing and when it comes to the cornering it seems any speed is possible you just need to adjust the approach, it lets you lean over more on a berm without clipping from my experience, I also lean forward pretty often when standing just to get some more weight on the front helps it pivot for sure
Hey man, I've gotten soo much better since rolling the left stick. I wonder if they are using it as a way to roll the right stick most of the time. Makes it more consistent especially if fwd/back lean isn't 100 percent.

I played the first maybe 180 hours with a rigid camera cause I'm just used to that from games like assetto corsa with my sim rig, literally hate third-person/loose cameras in games like forza cause It seems like I have to interpret whats going on more than just naturally feeling what the car is doing with the camera mounted rigid on the hood and its the same case in mx bikes. I've fiddled with the follow track camera settings in mx bikes a little and it always feels like way too much to the point where I can't feel or control the bike in turns as well as I can with a rigid camera, do you think its a matter of relearning with the new camera or bad settings? Rigid camera gives me every little bit of visual feedback as to whats going on with the bike but the game looks so much nicer with the follow track mechanics, especially when it comes to vertical camera movement, i'd love to be able to pick the front wheel up and still see where tf I'm going. I'm on ultrawide with good fov so I can still see the track but the head turning looks way nicer. Your settings look like the middle ground between head turning that feels natural and still being able to see/feel what the bike is doing. Would you mind sharing those settings? Maybe you could do a rigid vs follow-track camera experiment video on it.
It all depends. Standing and sitting both have very distinct ways of leaning. But i prize consitency, and being able to drasticslly change how the bike handles to adapt to situations is priceless. Only sitting is unviable. Only standing IS viable. But flawed. And sitting is too usefull not to use. So a good rule of thumb is to stand whenever possible, and only sit when you know WHY you're sitting.
I feel like to really test this you need to eliminate placebo by randomizing the sit/stand and sending it without you knowing what you are playing with
The question should really be, is sitting important? Normal riding position to go fast is standing. I use Auto Sit because I'm lazy. There are more important things to learn before manually sitting matters. Consistently is more important than having to hit an extra button all the time.
I think you should incorporate manual sitting into whatever else youre trying to practice. Itll help in the long run before youre set in your ways then youll never change
i got kicked while holding the fastest lap and 1st place on Maryland, didnt take anyone out at all, had about a 20 second lead and got voted out of the lobby. It was a 2FastRacing server. i dont even join their servers anymore because theres always people going backwards on the track.
Any paid track besides the pro series will never get the attention it deserves. I know the creators put alot of hard work and effort into the tracks and should definitely be rewarded for it. But us normal people aka not content creators that get sent the tracks for free to promote are tired of paying for tracks over and over just for the same ole tracks to be on the sever every single day. It’d be one thing if we paid for them and they actually got played and were on the servers then yes it would be worth it.

can you make a video on (auto sit vs. manual sit) to see which one is faster
It’s obviously rider preference, but manual sit will always be faster.

Auto sit is a low skill cap and it makes you worse. It is a skill you need to learn very early because it’s the difference of tucking or not tucking
