I just came back from Hugo Kant's live show in my city of Liege, Belgium. A 3 hours long crazy set and for a good cause (for an organization). He gave it his all, despite the fact that we were only 70 people. I'll go see him again, that's for sure. Unfortunately he didn't have any vinyl with him. My God, I danced my ass off. Thanks Hugo, it was a real trip! 😵💫🙏

I usually need to listen to new music a few times before it grows on me, but I'm listening to this album for the first time, and although I need to leave the house soon I find it hard to find a place to pause the music without it feeling like committing an act of sacrilege.
Usually this genre just passes through me as a pleasant background, but here the melodies stick, I catch myself whistling this and come back again and again.
Listening to this as I sit in the fields of my village. Watching those tall hills as the smoke from fire rises up in the air. Long may the beauty live!

I listened to this album so many times during covid work from home that I realized it's one of my favorites, so I bought the album on bandcamp and ordered a shirt. First time I've done either of those, and when the shirt arrived, they included a ton of stickers for this and "Out of Time". I am so happy that I found Hugo Kant via this channel.
Ok, update. Two listens in the mountains. Were currently in the Himalaya, Dharamasala, home of dalai llama. Tibetan people and culture. We went for dinner in our favourite Tibetan cafe. Four tables. Two full of Tibetan monks, one for myself and daughter, final one the locals. My friend who's mum runs the cafe put this on their system quietly on my request. No complaints, one of the monks asked me who the artist was 😎🙏👍. Smiles. Fourth listen at home as I write. This production is really superb, gets even better the more you listen. Detailed tunes, layers of sound, solid grooves. Very happy to hear this again and again Mr Kant . Loving the plink plonk sounds in some of the tunes. And the flute is uplifting. Nice nice vibes.... 🎵👌

To touch on only one part of a truly outstanding album, the sound design and production, mixing of electronic and analog instruments is done so tastefully and creatively, it is both subtle and bold and I think very forward-thinking for the genre. In March last year, before the pandemic, I was in Sfax, a city and municipality on the south coast of Tunisia, when I first heard Hugo Kant. I liked it and I always listen.
Every time I listen to this, and I have listened to it many, many times, it somehow retains its newness. It is very quickly becoming one of my all time favorites. Excellent album Mr.Kant ! You should be proud! Sure to be one of the best. Don't stop and you'll be a Legend!
