    I’ve got same truck...topper and overland racks next week!! Did you build the platform in the bed? Any vids?

      Sweet I’m hoping to get racks on the truck soon. Yeah it’s titled the $100 dollar overland camping platform. I also did a write up with more details over on trentmmoore.com , hope that helps.
      Thanks for watching.

    Do your windoors collect water at all? It seems like water maybe gets inside the frame the windoors on mine. When I open them up some water leak out.

    Do you have a video of the mods done to your truck(lift, wheels etc.)? Looks good!

    • @TrentMMoore

      Thank you! No Not since I had it lifted and added everything. It is on the list of videos to make. Was planning on waiting until I had the roof rack and bumper on but might do a multi part series on it.

    Great video, do you know the static and dynamic weight capacity for your model? I'm curious if it will support a tent on top.

    • @TrentMMoore
      @TrentMMoore  4 года назад +1

      500 lbs static 250 dynamic is what I was told. I’ll try and hit up LEER and confirm.

      @@TrentMMoore it would be great to know the weight rating as I’m getting the same config on my truck.

    • @TrentMMoore
      @TrentMMoore  4 года назад

      Yeah from what I have seen you should be good to do a roof top tent on top of the shell. I know there are a lot of factors depending on the shell so I would contact the manufacturer for sure.

      Any way you know how to connect it for keyless entry? When I bought mine I paid for it but they never hooked it up. Buying my shell was a nightmare. Anyway… any info would help. Thanks man

    When we go camping I have a roof top tent for my wife and I but I'd love for my dogs to sleep in the topper. I would like to be able to open the windows on the windoors to let some air in for them without the fear of them escaping or something getting in. Is there a screen mounted, or an option for it, on the windoors? It'd have to be mounted to the windoors itself otherwise you'd lose the use of them.

    • @TrentMMoore
      @TrentMMoore  4 года назад

      The windoors have a pretty solid screen and it is a pretty small window so it would be hard for a dog to get out of it. I know they make dog screens for some of the other models but I haven’t ever seen them on the windoors. As far as something getting in the screens would keep out most small predators and any large predators would have to go through a fair amount of trouble to get in.

      Offroad Odyssey Cool man! Thanks for the reply. And thanks for making the videos on the topper. It’s making my decision on getting one or not so much easier. I’m probably leaning towards that same model with the same additions.

    • @TrentMMoore
      @TrentMMoore  4 года назад +2

      Yeah I went with 285/70/17s . Might go with a bigger tire in the future we will see what will fit and still be functional.

    • @ryantettenburn940
      @ryantettenburn940 4 года назад

      @@TrentMMoore did you have to lift to accommodate that tire? Thanks

    • @TrentMMoore
      @TrentMMoore  4 года назад

      From what I understand you need some sort of lift to fit these tires without rubbing. I believe people have made them fit but it doesn’t give you much articulation so I would put some sort of lift in if you planned on going to 285’s.

    is your bed the 5 foot or six foot. been looking at cabs with windoors. been told the five foot ones the windoors dont have the slider screen option 🥲

    • @TrentMMoore
      @TrentMMoore  3 года назад

      It’s a 6 ft bed. Really that seems odd they wouldn’t make the windoors with a slider for the 5ft bed. Have you looked into ARE? They might make a 5 ft windoor with a slider.

    How do LEER caps do in an automatic car wash?

      I've taken mine through an auto car wash 3 or 4 times now and did not notice an issue. However the pickup bed itself is not water tight so there will always be some sepage.

      I used LEER Truck Accessories in Murrieta, CA. I will have to give them a call and ask them. I will try and get back to you tomorrow with an answer.

      I contacted them they said LEER send them the seal that goes along the edges of the bed of the truck called bulb seal. The stuff used to fill the gaps is black puddy seal. Hope that helps.
