Tesco doesn't pack there sandwiches like that, for the last 3 years at least they are all packed in paper coated plastic so no idea they got this one from.
I think it's interesting how the sandwich started going moldy even while the package was still sealed. Proves what my biochem professor always said - mold is pretty much inescapable because everything, everywhere, at all times, is covered in microscopic mold spores, just waiting for suitable conditions.
Congratulations, I think this is the first video that actually made me make a face of somewhat disgust and amazement. I was NOT expecting the slime mold when you squeezed it!
@PhotoOwl Absolutely not, the channels that I've watched, this is mild. I love life in all forms, and that even means the process and developmental growth of mold.
Honestly it would have been cool if you also had a second "control" sandwich who's packaging remained sealed to see the difference that the extra moisture and air exposure makes.
Ah, so that’s how they make bread pudding! Also I continue to adore the colour palettes these create.. the rich yellow of the water at the bottom is so pretty, especially surrounded by white beige and brown

have been watching your channel from past many years, brother your content is beyond other usual contents, moreover the amount of time you give in every video is nothing but pure planning and your creativity and visualization, kudos to your patience!!, soon you will achieve a million mile after so long, and on the other hand people with shit content reaches millions in very little time, seems like people like to see shit more often than real content like yours. Love from India.
I was wondering at the beginning why you told us how many days you filmed it for. This was awesome though especially that we know that you filmed the opening this week!! Because we never know exactly how long ago you filmed these videos so this is like the closest we've gotten to real time with you! And what did that wrench ever do to you?!? I chuckled at the end
I usually film the end result as soon as I stop the time-lapse. But this time, I didn’t do that. Instead, I decided to wait a little longer. I hadn’t planned on going for 100 days, but time flew by, and after about 2 months, I thought 100 was a nice round number. So, I decided to film it then. The Wrench: Some Yters spend hundreds of dollars on fancy knives to use on video. But applying Occam's Razor the wrnch sitting on my shelf works just as well for my needs if not better! 😄 And it gave you a chuckle.
I have a question. How does anything go inside the sealed package? is it because a) It's already there to begin with b) It's not sealed perfectly c) in time the seal is weakening d) microorganisms can pass through the plastic because they are too small e) something else?
The bacteria is already there, but it's in a very small quantity so it's safe to eat when the sandwich is fresh. Sealed food is not steryle, bacterias are everywhere. They just stay in low numbers as long as the stuff is kept cool and closed.
@@terminator19213 He has a space rented, I think a closed carport or something. Just imagine dozens of white containers, neatly shelfed, with cameras and white LEDs affixed to them… and, somewhere in a corner, a half-open window. That’s how I imagine it looks like.=)
When you squashed it I thought it would disintegrate. Even with the water added and so much time it still had a little structural integrity. I was expecting it to turn into soup.
Congrats! You are so close to 1 million!!

That poor wrench thought it was going to be working on a 1970s classic car but instead is knee deep into a 172 day sandwich.
Underrated 🗿
Why do I feel sad after seeing that 😭

I had that wrench nearby and I thought: "After all... why not? Why shouldn't I use it?" 😅
really felt for that wrench, may he come out of this trauma soon.

Its genuinely baffling on how much time and effort is put into these videos
What is that music? “Sandwich Decay Waltz” is what I’m calling it
I love how photo owl actually has a personlity😊
2:30 Funny. I held my breath when the rotton sandwich was brought it closer to me. xD
It’s kind of a shame you injected water into it. It would have been interesting to see how well the sealed packaging keeps it fresh
I'm pretty sure it was not safe for consumption on day 2...
I wonder what something sealed in vacuum would look like after some time.

Did anyone else get sad and upset? Seeing a nice tasty sandwich, being left, unwanted, denied becoming a nutritious lunch for someone to enjoy?
Seems a lot slower than in the open. I wonder if it's more because of slow gas exchange or more because of no insects.
