- For reasons I will never understand, this episode has been impossible to find. It's not a lost show-- Ed Wood aficionados have apparently been passing this episode around for years-- but all I've been able to get my grubby little hands on is this incomplete copy in horrific video quality. I'm still grateful to have it, though-- prior to this, all that was available from this show was a 3 minute clip. At least we get to see (sort of) the full Tor Johnson segment here, including the quiz!
If anyone has a complete and/or better quality copy of this one, please let me know!
COUPLE #1: Gail Van Der Most / Mike Dini [NOT INCLUDED]
COUPLE #2: Tor Johnson / Stassa Damascus

Amazing to see. Always loved this show, and Groucho, but never saw this bit. Tor was adorable here.
Okay, just take a look at the quality of this video - can barely make out what's going on. But I sat here and watched it for 14:21 minutes, because it's SO DARN GOOD!!! Groucho is always so funny. Thanks so much for posting this and all your other videos. You've kept me busy for about a week, and I still have many more to go!
Tor mentions his Ed Wood film "Revenge of the Dead" (AKA "Night of the Ghouls") which wasn't given a release until the 1980s. Seems Ed couldn't afford the lab processing fees.
Groucho said to Tor "Romance of the Dead? What was it a comedy, huh?" - Groucho was ahead of the curve!
Picture quality 1, entertainment value 1001. !!!
I have been looking for this for years ... Thank you.
Dave Showler Glad you found it. :)
Dave Showler there is a better one hiding on RUclips somewhere. It is just a bit better quality and has the interview.
I shall look for it ... Thanks.
Gotta love Tor! I can’t believe people thought that he really got mad at Groucho. He was a good sport and played along. This longer version of the clip shows that he had a good time on the show.
I see comments about the quality of the video. Back in the 1950s a lot of our TVs didn't have much better reception.
Groucho: "5"2' and 190 pounds? That would be 5".2" in any direction." (Said to Tor Johnson after describing his wife.)
Tor came close to wrestling Groucho.
Very amusing, thanks!
How ironic, Tor's son was a detective just like Tor was in Plan 9 From Outer Space! Tor couldn't bet his life because he was a ghoul.
groucho had him flustered
5 foot 2 in any direction!
Aahhhmmm a big boy Chohnny! - Tor Johnson as inspector Daniel Clay.
Ignoring Groucho being a royal ass, it was interesting to learn more about Tor Johson.
"The people they hate me" - Tor
She must be 5 feet 2 in any direction. Lol
What is his preoccupation with marriage?
Groucho was asked by an attractive female reporter what he thought about marriage and he replied "It's a great idea if you ask me".

😂👌👏😃👏😆👏😁👏🤣💍💍💍💍💍💍💍💍💍💎
video quality had no measurable impact on my enjoyment of this show portion :)
Poor audio quality makes the video unwatchable.
9m27s ... G: "I'm weary of the whole thing" he's so candid.
