A trip to Penang is never complete if you never visit the famous Penang Hill. With a height of 833m, this used to be a cozy retreat for the British in the past. Now it is a must go destination when you arrive in Penang. We know that there are adventurous visitor who prefer to hike or cycle up to Penang hill, that is why we took this video to show the hikers and bikers how to reach Penang hill from the famous batcave temple.

Hi. Planning to cycle up to Penang Hill soon. Did the Kek Lok Si to Ngor Hean a few times already. Is this as steep or steeper than Kek Lok Si - Ngor Hean?
Hi there, I would say the gradient is between 20 to 30, should be fine, just ride slow and casual. This ride is definitely steeper than kek lok si to Ngor hean.
Hi bro, do you happen to know how to get permission to use the route next to botanical gardens entrance? There is a sign board there saying need to get permission to enter but when I ask the people in the booth they were not helpful.
Hi there, check out my Tiger Hill shirt clip, I believe the route you are referring is the Jeep track to Penang Hill. If you are using that path, no permission require , just pass through the security gate will do. For the time being, it could be because of movement control, they might or might not allowed hikers or cyclist to use the route. Instead if you use the path near the bat cave in Air Itam, should be ok.
