I've seen both the Mini and Neo Geo X reviewed on Game Sack years ago, as well as other channels such as MJR. I confess I'm just not that interested in reviews of hardware that has been surpassed in emulation quality and player experience for a long time now. Included with other similar hardware in a longer video I'd be interested in the comparisons, but as a solo hardware review I'd probably skip similar in the future.
Yeah, I hear you. I normally stick to multiple game emulators instead of single hardware stuff, but I like to jump around a lot. I like to get super thorough on one system, but I can see it getting boring, especially on something that's been done to death, perhaps. At least I'm not doing a video on every single Neo Geo Mini Release like some are doing. Now that's painful! Game Sack is a great show! I'll have to catch that video.
To be honest, no. That would drive me crazy. Have you tried to connect it to a TV to see if it still sounds like that? Could be a bad speaker inside your unit.
SNK did a lot of these products as cash grabs. They know that SNK fans will keep buying poor quality compromises just like the Atari fan boys that are still buying another copy of 40 year old games. Neo Geo X was poor quality too in some respects but it was a design ahead of it time.
Great review very cool machine!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Retro Zoltan now has his own outro music?! I think a dreamcast mini would be epic.
Lol you like?! Dreamcast Mini I would buy!!
I'm digging the outro for sure. Very bananarama - esque.@@RetroZoltan
NEO GEO X? Yes Please! I wanted one of those so bad! But EVERYONE said it sucked! I'd love to hear a different opinion.
I hope to put something together soon!
I want a tour of the Retro Zoltan game Vault!
It’s much messier than that AI clip! Lol

“Babe, wake up! The new Retro Zoltan just dropped!”
Yeah wake up you lazy bastard
Let's talk about the NeoGeo X
lol are you sure?
@RetroZoltan hell yeah this was a great video, I always admired the neo geo cabinets.
Hi, do you happen to hear a crackling noise in the background in the menu and even a little less during the game? Thanks
To be honest, no. That would drive me crazy. Have you tried to connect it to a TV to see if it still sounds like that? Could be a bad speaker inside your unit.
@@RetroZoltan By connecting it to the headphones the noise disappears.
Ok … that’s a better test (why didn’t I think of that!?) Ok yeah your speaker needs replacing sadly. It wouldn’t be all weird like that.
6:18 - 6:28 Just mute your TV.
Lol sorry … sounds awful right?! I hate it
@@RetroZoltan Thank god for the mute button on your remote/TV.
All you need is a portable battery charger
Well true … your not wrong. Maybe I’ll stuff a portable battery charger inside :)

Do the games save scores?
That’s a very good question. I should have looked into this!! I’ll have to take a better look and see.
