I am a retired teacher. The parents made a life-altering mistake by allowing him to quit school at 15. He was simply too immature to become a megastar. He needed the socialization of the high school years to mature and to learn to navigate life and the emotional ups and downs.
I believe ANDY actually had one of the BEST voices of all the brothers, and I’m a fan of The Bee Gees. Just saying. I’d Hope he was encouraged and made to “own” his talent. He deserved his own unique praise for sure! RIP Andy Gibb. ❤ You and your voice were beautiful.

Andy was the youngest Gibb brother and the first to die. Maurice was the second youngest born (by 35 minutes) and the second to die. Robin was next in age and the next to die. Barry is the oldest and the only brother left (There is their sister Leslie too). It's so strange that they died in the reverse order of their births. Rest in peace Andy, Maurice, and Robin. He had a very hard time being labeled "The Baby Bee Gee". He was very talented and he wrote some great songs by himself, but he always struggled with his self confidence. I still listen to his music to this day. He had a beautiful voice and was very good at playing guitar. I'm actually reading his biography right now. The book is called...Arrow Through The Heart:💘 The Biography Of Andy Gibb by Matthew Hild. It just came out this year. There's a lot more to his personal life story than I have ever heard about until I started reading his biography. It's a very well written book. I recommend that all of Andy's fans take the time to read about the true story of his life. I will never forget that day when I heard that he had passed away 5 days after his 30th birthday in 1988. Such a very sad loss.

As a nurse I think 🤔 his self doubt was because of his great love for his brothers & feeling not as good as them..but this was out of childhood respect & love ❤️ so his heart could not bear to be both Better or not as good as his brothers. We know now medically This emotional issue & tug of war on one's emotions does effect our hearts & some are weaker than others. So doing hard drugs & or alcohol at a young age can cause early death or severe ❤️conditions, as it wears out the heart.

As soon as Andy got with Victoria I told my friends to watch her do a song with him. I was right. She's not aa talented singer & you could tell it was tweaked on her part. All the performances you could tell were lip synced. SMH. Even as a teen I could see that coming.

Andy Gibb was so cute and Soo popular in the late 70s & early 80s. I had his posters on my wall also and in my locker at school . I was in Junior High in the late 70s 77-80. Years as so stunned by his deaths in 1988 just days after turning age 30 . Apparently heavy alcoholism and cocaine addiction messed him up really bad. Rest in Peace Andy . You were So very loved . If only you could have really heard and actually seen just how much. 😢
Poor kid. He really was good, but sooo insecure, sadly a typical drug addict, just couldn’t believe in himself. Didn’t know he was good, couldn’t accept his success. He never would’ve, which is heartbreaking.

Maybe it would have been better if he had joined his brothers,instead of trying to make a career of his own! There are a lot of songwriters out there that use other people's songs and make the charts. I wish he didn't have those feelings of doubt even though our mind gets the best of us at times. He's a great singer I enjoyed his records in the seventies I had the teen beat magazines and I followed his articles and cut out his pictures.. I like Andy because I felt like he was more of my age. And I enjoyed this songs. I guess you could call myself naive but I didn't know about his drug habit either. That send me one I heard about his medical past of addiction.

Era soberbio por su belleza y sus hermanos no.tuvieron la misma suerte con las mujeres. Robin fue muy jovencito padre y Molly no quería acompañarlo en las giras y quería que siguiera separado de sus hermanos, Maurice con Lulú era una competencia de bebida, porque ella también tomaba y estaba en "diva", por suerte le llegó Yvonne... Barry se creía la autoridad moral y musical. y así estaba siempre sermoneando. En las entrevistas no dejaba hablar a los twins. Del cáncer de Robin no.supo nada...no lo sospechaba?? Maurice era un ángel, mediando entre todos a pesar del alcohol. Barry era sólo 3 años más grande que los twins, no es diferencia para anular a los "menores". Ser el sex symbol del grupo lo hacía el preferido hasta de los managers, porque su imagen vendía. Hoy llora porque siempre estaba peleado con sus hermanos cuando murieron. Si no fuera por Linda, Barry desb arrancaba como Andy. Todos trataron de ayudar a Andy, todos. aún cuando tenían muchos más problemas que Barry en sus vidas ( Robin c/ el divorcio, no ver a Spencer y Melissa,etc) , Maurice con su divorcio y después con la rehabilitación y esa mala praxis que lo mató. No fue el BIG BROTHER ejemplar. Siempre los quiso a su mando. y Linda, bellísima e inteligen sima, fue y es la razón por la que estuvo y está de pié. El mismo lo dijo. Y se nota.

As soon as Andy got with Victoria I told my friends to watch her do a song with him. I was right. She's not aa talented singer & you could tell it was tweaked on her part. All the performances you could tell were lip synced. SMH. Even as a teen I could see that coming.

Una belleza y talento GIBB fabuloso... quizá no lo controlaron a tiempo y no fueron rígidos con él ... Victoria Principal estaba en Dallas, pero salvo por sus cirugías e implantes, no era la razón del éxito de la serie. Tenía un elenco impresionante. Una caza fortunas, que también consumía, pero tenía otro control. Andy hasta le dió dinero y fama que ya estaba perdiendo. Así lo abandono por un millonario cirujano plástico, a éste por otro súper millonario ..Nunca se supo de nada relevante que hiciera al nivel de Dallas...nunca más existió..Lo tenía todo, como todos los GIBB, era brillante..😔... pero sí, su voz habia cambiado, no era el mismo... cómo puede sentirse inseguro alguien tan lleno de TODO... cómo podía no verse? 😔.... Andy Gibb was so cute and Soo popular in the late 70s & early 80s. I had his posters on my wall also and in my locker at school . I was in Junior High in the late 70s 77-80. Years as so stunned by his deaths in 1988 just days after turning age 30 . Apparently heavy alcoholism and cocaine addiction messed him up really bad. Rest in Peace Andy . You were So very loved . If only you could have really heard and actually seen just how much. 😢
Poor kid. He really was good, but sooo insecure, sadly a typical drug addict, just couldn’t believe in himself. Didn’t know he was good, couldn’t accept his success. He never would’ve, which is heartbreaking.

There are a lot of songwriters out there that use other people's songs and make the charts. I wish he didn't have those feelings of doubt even though our mind gets the best of us at times. He's a great singer I enjoyed his records in the seventies I had the teen beat magazines and I followed his articles and cut out his pictures.. I like Andy because I felt like he was more of my age. And I enjoyed this songs. I guess you could call myself naive but I didn't know about his drug habit either. That send me one I heard about his medical past of addiction.
