@@scottbaxter4193 I watched enough that it was clear that nothing was happening ~ about five minutes or so. Was I supposed to watch to the 30 minute mark? 60 minutes? 90? Get it going within a minute or so or people are going to bail on you.
You gata love how Abbott he says "the power grid is stronger than it's ever been!" No 1.5X or 2X. This could equal the grid in last winters blast and adding a hearing aid battery to it. That would make it stronger.
Spent millions and tons of hours to fix. Can't blame power lines for the whole system. I think Abbott did a great job in tackling this. We have not lost power after the 2 most hardcore days of the storm. He's has and will always have my vote in 2022!
Not gonna hit those 135 year cycle lows like last year. Nobody in 5 generations is alive to remember the last time it hit negative 21 degrees F like in Jacksonville, Texas and Texarkana for 4 days of ice storms, especially in the subtropics near the Gulf of Mexico where it hit 5 F in the valley and wiped out the crops. The ice storms went all the way into MEXICO. The TX grid is designed for extreme heat of up to 120 degrees F to keep power up for subtropic and desert heat, not like that unheard of subarctic ice storm drop for 4 days. No state can have both those power designs with 7 climate regions no matter how hard people wanna push a square peg in a round hole. It just isn't feasable unless you have 2 separate power grid systems, or unless you have more money than 50 countries so you can shut one down and use the other grid for a week 100 years later. Welcome to Texas, where it can be 110 F on one side and 5 F in another in the same day. By the way, we do great in heat waves, unlike the northeast or northwest, where they shut down schools and cities because their power goes out when it hits 95 F. We call that a little warm here. Generator a good investment for a hurricane though...those things that actually happen every year instead of over 100 years.
Maybe they should shut off the cameras if they're not going to do anything...
Did you listen to the whole thing? You couldn't have or you would hear what preparations have been taken including fixing the grid.

DFW and San Antonio have most without power. Don’t mention the grid because it’s downed power lines causing the outages. Greedy Greg doing the CYA.
Greedy Greg got rich during the tree accident. He changed the laws soon after being elected and no one gets rich for suing during accidents now.
A brand new power grid has been installed near my home in Brownwood

I still have my power. Who else? Since everyone was complaining.
I would say everyone who wants Beto O Dork to run Texas is complaining. While there is nothing to complain about but their miserable lives.

What severe weather. Cold at night for 3 days and some sleet for 4 hours later
Primary Abbott, not because of the weather. But because he’s a RINO! Vote Don Huffines in the primaries!
There is no new power grid going on a repeat of last year busted pipes and no heat.
