you probably dont care at all but does someone know a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Franco Brecken i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Good stuff mate- I'm not in the industry any more, but T&L was my favourite task- this showed up in my YT stream- nice to see where the technology is these days.
you are the best out there man. Everything you say is just invaluable. I would love to see some more xgen stuff from you, there isnt alot of good info out there on it. If you have a good course you know about on it that would be welcome too, Thank you again for your work!
@@arvidurs More on the side of grooming and layout. but especially shading with fur. I cant seem to ever get something that looks realistic. I have followed your other tutorial closely but some things you do I cant get to work. Thank you for the reply!
@@arvidurs Yeah, definitely thumb that up. Would be great if you can make a video about fur grooming and lookdev/rendering(and drive the color with a painted texture map). I plan on making a character with a looot of fur, for movies standard soon. Would really appreciate. Of course if you've the time. Thanks so much again for sharing your knowledge Arvid, much appreciate.
Thanks a lot! How do you make id slots to be visible on the aiStandard node? I always have to drag the tail up to the dot on the shader and then choose id slot from others. But here you have them right on the node.
When you hold right click on a shader and you choose "Edit custom attribute list"" any attribute you click will go above the yellow line and will be visible in the future.
@@zzsavina omg thank you! I wanted to ask that question too but I wasn't sure how to put it into words because I'm not a native speaker 🥲🙈 thanks both of you

Hello, Arvid! Thank you for tutorials. Your videos are informative and understandable, even for a person for whom English is not their native language. Now, I begin understand how work shader and Substance Designer doesn't seem so scary))
hi, do artists at ILM get full freedom to do the shading procedurally (if required)?, cause in many companies they give us the material library and we are only restricted to that.
I have never heard of any company that is restricted to a library. Only for product renders where a company deliverd the modellibrary for there products like a keyshot library. The lookdev artiest normaly build it from scratch at least in most film studio's. Textures are a different thing though.
@@dennisvolkerts hey, by library I mean we get shaders that are actually a shading network under the hood. But we only have parameters that are exposed to us(though all of the parameters, but we can't plug let's say a noise as a mask in lookdev software itself on the fly, so there is no editable I/O I mean to say...all of them are already hooked up). And we only have choice of using few ISOs to drive a texture map..... Often time comes when we need multiple masks driving s map......but....we end up doing that in our map and then bring it to the lookdev..... The setup is done to better maintain the pipeline but yeah ..... sometimes sucks..... I don't mean that keyshot kind of library, lol😂
Typically everything is texture driven. But we can still use noises and stuff like that. But mostly we work closely with texturing so they paint what we need.
REally was a great tutorial to follow along and learn techniques . I have a question @Arvid Schneider that what is the image viewing software do you use. Just for curiosity it came in my mind.
Hi Arvid, many thanks for sharing your knowledge!! Maybe a stupid question but what is the app you're using to display reference images? Guess it isn't part of Maya tools, or am I wrong?

I don't have the Isolate Selected features that shows a specific texture only. How can I add that?
Make sure you are on the latest Arnold maya version
@@arvidurs Hello Arvid. What if we are using Arnold in 3ds max? I can't find the option, it only isolates objects but not maps/textures
Can u make candle shader with flame
Can I use this technique in 3DSMAX as well?
Yeah! With any Arnold version you can do that

is it possible to recreate this in arnold for c4d?
