Her interpretation is graceful, heartfelt and meaningful. She expresses Chopin without theatrics, just heartfelt full of artful expression and beauty…brilliant
Finally! I found the interpretation that I really like. Most pianists seem to be in a hurry to somewhere and tempo is way to fast, and then when the storm is coming high notes are overpowering the low notes and it's not "rumbling" enough. Excuse my terms, I don't know the proper ones but love this piece and wanted to find interpritation that represents this state of nature precisely how it is. Here, everything is perfect!
I have the feeling that Chopin's crying the saddest and also the happiest tears. Sadness brought by the performance in perfect tune with the tone of the composition. Never heard anything like this. Happiness as he finally found someone who could truly understand the feelings he had while he was composing. Kate is beyond any imagination. Is she real? Not a fairy from heaven? Or maybe she is coming directly from Sirius?
un régal de délicatesse et de sensibilité; un rêve de jeune fille; Kate Liu occupe réellement une place à part au milieu des pianistes de cette génération
Yes she put her finger on the keyboard at 1:00, but I would say the music started about 10 sec earlier when she sit on the chair and began to get into her 'zone'.
What !? Why no one ever mentioned her to me? I am discovering a wonderful, wonderful totally musical and sweet performer. I think her playing is even more delicate than raindrops on a sunny day. Also, not everyone plays it exactly like it was written by Fred. How do I know ? See for yourself. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prelude,_Op._28,_No._15_%28Chopin%29 👌👌😍😍
