Here's hoping for a sterling version for poor boys like myself
same here, but those Sterling Sabres they announced are looking incredible, Fishman Moderns too
I had the same thought. Can't afford an Abasi, now here's another guitar of his I can't afford as well.
And me. Those sterlings are great Guitars!
Took a few years for that to happen with the Majesty
Here's hoping for s lefty Sterling ...... more chance of me marrying Charlize Theron 😯
Aside from the Abasi model, all of the other 2022 releases are pretty underwhelming besides the crystal amethyst Majesty... that'll be $6000. The black hardtail Stingray and red(?) Sabre are pretty cool too I guess.
Also, the new Sterling Sabre's they just announced are looking pretty sick. They have Fishman Fluences, too.
About to get this on the 30th. I got on the top of the list as soon as I saw the announcement I emailed my guy. Extremely excited for something completely new! Infinite radius, fan fret, tremolo, split coil on the 2 position, mini humbucker neck, heavy gain bridge pup, sexy design!
Finally a guitar which is undetectable from enemy radar.
Fun fact: The word Kaizen is the Japanese word for "Improvement / Continuous Improvement / Change for the Better." I don't know if Tosin is throwing shade at other Music Man models with that name but it is a beautiful looking guitar.
To call it that, then slap a "Standard Scale Lengths" on a Fanned Fret 7 ... Kinda disappointing. If you're going to give us extended range, actually extend the playable range of notes.
I wouldn't call it beautiful, I know it's your opinion but I really don't like the bottom right part of the guitar looking like that. It looks like an ingrown toenail lol
@@TYLERtheMAGGOT1 it seems for me weird aswell, but it's new so perhaps it will grow on me. I would really dig it reverse shaped, it would have something of a very modern explorer or firebird 🤩
@@g.koch. now that you brought that up, I agree. It would dope if it was reversed where it looks like a explorer.
So would you be implying other Music Man models are lacking? Im pretty sure the Majesty and other John Petrucci models would take offense to that implication.. Just my opinion. A opinion worth ZERO!! lol
Tosin's guitar is gorgeous. I'm A Floyd Rose guy and I'm usually resistant to the Ernie Ball prices, but this I like.
@Sever More the first time I changed strings on my Jackson I freaked the heck out so I totally get it. But you learn. Now I seriously have a hard time playing a non Floyd guitar.
@Sever More both my main guitars are Carvins from before they became Keisel, both with Floyds. That's my bridge.
I kinda dig the Kaizens, especially that mint green one. But I’m a huge sucker for the Majesties!
“Conical radius” means the same thing as “Compound radius.” Flatter radius towards the 24th fret.
I was incredibly excited for the Kaizen until I saw the scale length. I was hoping for a 25.5-26.5 multiscale, especially for a 7 string.
@Sever More exactly. It kinda worries me that they're releasing the 7-strings first, but they don't specify the scale on the low B.
@@themorrigan1312 I was at NAMM- I asked and they said the low B is 25.7ish
I got my credit card ready to go for one of these. They're going to be sick AF.
EB: We have this new model it's so wild man you won't believe it
ESP: *giggling*
All of those guitars look great. Problem is my wallet is already screaming at me like "No, you don't have the funds! Back away, child!" Thank you for the content. Have a great day.
Have a great day xoxox
Supposedly the heat treated humbucker imcreases the magnetic field making the sound more crisp and clear. And I think the kaizen will be their best seller since its just all around so unique. I mean everything about it is like you said so new and original. I think they knocked. It out the park grand slam style haha.🔥🤘
Finally a Ernie Ball design that pleases my eyes lol
What you can’t see on the majesty’s is they don’t photograph well. They’re not actually black; they are dark metallic sparkle finishes that match the shield color. That Okelani blue one has such a rich dark blue sparkle that looks amazing. The photos don’t do them Justice!!
Felt the same thing about the Albert lee. Get this thing in a burst with HSS and I'm in.
that purple one cant wait to be sitting in my studio
Music Man introduced some innovation which havent been seen since guitars became electric.. I bet that thing with the neck has been patented and other brands will follow soon. I think music man is playing it safe for now...when its a succes the fancy woods and inlays will appear ...at prices we, the people can only dream of.
I would like to see a video of you talking about your tattoos or where you get them done ✔️
They look amazing! 😃👍
Honestly i absolutely love this shape, the classics are great but i love when new shapes come in. Looks akin to a high end concept hypercar
That purple burst is awesome but I think my favorite one is the blue/green Sabre HT. It just stands out to me
Yes
Ray, have you seen the new Jason Richardson signature purple Burl top guitar? Oh my God, so beautiful!
That spalted maple one is absolutely beautiful.
I would love a bass with that Kaizen body and headstock shape
Been waiting for something from MM and I’m digging this. The fact that the horns remind me of the upper portion of a Jackson Warrior really catches me.
Want to do without the fanned frets though but willing to try. Prefer neck through but no real problem with bolt on and glad they’re coming in 6. That black one could use some binding but I’m kind of excited… for 5-6k cad! lol
Wow! Those kaizen guitars from Ernie ball look crazy yet radical. They look like a modified version of their big Al basses. It also reminded me of the razorback guitars from dean guitars. But of course their differently designed guitars. I’ve always been more familiar with their stingray basses, but it is pretty cool that the kaizen guitars were associated with tosin abasi. My brother and I seen him at the generation axe tour a few years ago and he was phenomenal along with other guitarists at that tour. Other than that, these guitars look radical.
Ernie Ball/Music Man's QC is world class...Gibson and Fender don't even come close...Pricey? Hell yes!!...BUT worth it.
Dear EBMM,
looks great
but
1. Kaizen Bass
2. Big Joe Dart (like the Big Al) with three of the sweet fat pole single coils
thanks

It’s okay not to like a guitar design, but you’re right that it’s a great to try new things.
I don’t entirely buy the excuse about creating new guitar designs being difficult especially where electric guitars are concerned when the pickups count more than anything. I have all sorts of ideas for new guitar shapes - if any brands want to reach I’d, id be happy to sketch them out of my brain. You just need the right artist to come up with new concepts (and even ways of painting the guitars) that will please a enough people to sell them.
Acoustic guitars might be much harder to design new things because of the nature of acoustic chambers and the soundboard - but even so, new shapes can be tried, especially if it’s an acoustic electric-guitar.
Hey, if any guitar brands out there want to talk to me about new guitar shapes, I’d be glad to get hired as a consultant. DM me on Twitter or Instagram with the same sn as my RUclips.
Tosin Abasi teaming up with EBMM when he has his frickin' guitar company. What next? Fender teaming up with Gibson to create a brand new model??? Guess Tosin needs another McLaren in his garage...
It's a collaboration, and I'm sure the money doesn't hurt either.
@@GuitarGuy4647
That's what is bothering me. Obviously he did this only for the money. He has never played an Ernie Ball afaik, and now he's saying they're the best company to work with. What about Ibanez? Something he played years before he even got famous? Guess not much money there...
@@m4ssee he left ibanez because they were too slow to innovate, his own words not mine. He didnt leave bc of money issues. He had a sig in the works that was literally the larada shape but due to ibanez's pacing he left. That's why he didnt mention ibanez. And to say that it's obvious he did the EBMM collab for the money is pretty out there as well in my opinion. Just curious, what makes it that obvious to you?
@@m4ssee you just don't know then. He has a bunch of Musicman guitars and they've been sending him stuff for a while now. When he does interviews or playthrough, you can usually see a Majesty, St Vincent, Mariposa, or something in the background. I remembered when the Goldie dropped he was one for the first people I saw playing one on Instagram.
This also isn't new. They're just doing it out loud. Cort aka Cor-Tek has been making the PRS SE and Ibanez guitars for ages now. They used to make Squier too. So him already having a good relationship with EBMM, and getting stuff from them for a while, makes sense if he wants to do a run with them. He also might be shopping around to see if they'll be interested in helping him produce his own line. He's currently with Schecter, and they make the Larada Legion line
the Sabre is a model from the 70's/80's they brought back, there awesome, my mates got a lefty 73 model and its nuts for the time, active ect ...
Dude, i frickin LOVE that Leatherface shirt you have on…where did u get it? I love TCM! I have a Leatherface Statue on my bass rig
I agree with you, it looks pretty futuristic, I like it.
A new shape!
Kayzen is like abasi concept and st.vincent having a baby
Any news out of Dean, maybe Moser would be interesting if they showed up?
Rad man. Very rad.
I played yestarday... it´s Ok! EBMM quality, cool looking. But nothing for going crazy.
I dig that white one. I'll wait for the 6 string one though. Probably out of my price range though. I would probably have a kiesel made for that much money
The Kaizen is basically a modern version of their Albert Lee signature model.
From working in manufacturing/production I know Kaizen is Japanese for "Change for Improvement"
Not a bad shout out. Never knew they had a line of axes !
I dig the Stingray HT. Hardtails are my thing. But the price will be outrageous, I'm sure. I hope they come out with a Sterling edition.
The Steve Morse Darklord came as a hard tail. You should check one of those out!
Those guitars looks amazing and I dont even play guitar
Hmmm. So does Tosin Abasi still have his own guitar , umm company I guess you'd call it... If so I'd think that if he had his own model made by any maker, it would be his own. Right?
Here's the real question, would you pay $3k+ for an Ernie Ball Kaizen, or $4k for an Abasi Concepts Larada? I have a space t larada and I think I'd going with another larada, not that the Kaizen isn't sick.
I wouldn't spend 3k on a guitar, period
Agreed the kaizen it’s very cool and ballsy love the basses I’m buying a dark ray bass in metallic charcoal killer 5 string it’s its name ray🤣🤣
You didn’t even mention that the 8 string is now a production model
I was an industrial heat treatment technician for a while. I gotta say,, This doesn't make sense applied to a pickup.
Heat treatment realigns the molecules of metals that have been welded together at the weld junction. It makes the molecules basically fuse together to make the 2 welded pieces of metal into 1 true piece of metal. Heat treatment also hardens or softens metals depending on the time and temp that you "cook" the metal.
This is a super basic rundown of what I know of Heat treating. How this applies to pickups? I have no idea!
Oh, Heat treating and dumping a metal into certain oils will cause a rainbowish kind of effect on the metal... that could be what they are doing... I didn't look close enough.
What Rockwell did you heat treat to?
Being in the machine shop industry, heat treated metal is normally harder. How this will effect the sound hmmmm.
At first glance, the body looks very much like and up dated Guild X-79.
the abasi one is cool, but ehh not my thing. that natural majesty however? yeah thats a sexy sexy guitar
So what's happening with Abasi Guitars?
Nothing - this is just a collaboration.
This is his side hustle. Unless he decides to sell to EBMM or have them ghost build his Laradas, nothing is changing.
That Kaizen guitar looks incredible! But that scale length is no good.
HT humbuckers are suppose to be the next big thing in passive pups. All the keywords, tighter, more harmonic, wider range, blah blah blah
Kinda looks like one of those old Guilds...
Abasi left Ibanez for Music Man what a blow to Ibanez it seems like every Rock and Metal musician is leaving Ibanez for Music Man.
Seems quite short for a 7 string. But hey I will never be able afford it anyways
I’ll stick with the Laradas :/
The Kaizen and the Emi don’t look as appealing as his original concept. Big ups to him tho
Tosins own Abasi guitars look alot nicer.
Conical = Cone shaped
Not a fan of this new body style or Ernie Ball necks. Had a Monarch Majesty and just couldn't get use to it.
SI
There must be a ton of annoying punishers at NAMM
Honestly speaking Guitar looks weird I'll never buy this guitar
Call me old fashion but I don't like the kaizen models. Something about the bottom right of the guitar just looks ugly to me. I don't like it sorry
It reminds me of the Meteora or Jazzmaster. Imo offsets have much better playability while seated, and I think that's because of the hump
@@thesmellycatjazz yeah yoy habe a good point. I just want the bottom right to be trimmed a bit but that's personal preference.
And Im sure they wont be selling any left handed models like always. Funny how the only left handed guitars you ever seem to see are 1 or 2 of their basses and thats it. Oh and those new guitars are ugly as f*ck.
only care about bluguitar ampx
Huh
@@xanderraymondcharles yes , the amp x
I’ll have to do some research and see what it’s all about
@@xanderraymondcharles I don’t know much about it but to my understanding, it seems to be some sort of modeling amp unit, I could be wrong tho
@@maddoxmay611 with analog and digital 100 watts nanotube multi effect pedal size amp with dynamic ir
I mean…some of these look like shit tbh..the feel however. One can only find out.
Gibson won, again, raymond. Dean, and every other usa builder who elects to build these shapes has to now pay gibson. This will emass more than 7 mil. Eat crow, brahhhhhh!
It will go to appeal, and will not be a jury trial.
Gibson did not defend their I.P. for decades, they won't win.
Overpriced
yeaahh man smoke weed all day ray!!!! 😂
