On my high school Talent Night, 2 or 3 groups of students covered Kpop dances, each group performed many songs, but coincidentally they danced Rising Sun, in common. Yes, THAT popular. I was thinking 'this must be something'. I still remember asking my friends whether that's a Japanese song haha. After that night, boom, totally obsessed with it. 9 years, nostalgic.

Rising Sun was the very first Kpop song I heard, before I ever know the term 'Kpop'. It was very popular back in 2005. On my high school Talent Night, 2 or 3 groups of students covered Kpop dances, each group performed many songs, but coincidentally they danced Rising Sun, in common. Yes, THAT popular. I was thinking 'this must be something'. I still remember asking my friends whether that's a Japanese song haha. After that night, boom, totally obsessed with it. 9 years, nostalgic.
