Like someone's said, he sure got the mojo. EC is inspired by the greatest musical figures. Words fall short when I try to talk about Mr Spinetti. I wish he and EC played regularly in the recent years and on from now.
kerry mcmanus You mean Preston Forester (the man who wrote it) would be proud? Ann Cole is the original singer of "Got My Mojo Workin" in 1956. The song became more popular after Muddy Waters redid it in 1957.
@@Tabby2127Let's face it. Besides that Forester wrote it, and Cole sang it for the first time; Waters made it popular. And I think most of people stuck to that. Here, Clapton makes a great cover. Love it.
Henry Spinetti Enrico Antonio Giorgio Spinetti (born 31 March 1951) is a Welsh session drummer whose playing has featured on many prominent rock and pop albums......I really enjoy watching hime .....
The reference for this is Sam Lay singing and drumming with Butterfield around 1966. His drumming is like a locomotive barely on the tracks. Clapton does that little lip flutter thing that Lay does which pretty much cements this cover. This drummer imitates the crash part but the Sam Lay version comes close to beggaring belief. For my money EC is the greatest living artist of electric guitar, he's always terrific...even when he's just imitating himself, like the above. I'm just saying listen to the Butterfield version. If you want to really hear energy, that makes this good cover sound anemic, check out the Butterfield/Lay/Bloomfield track...no one ever equalled it and I've heard quite a few great versions.
Not to disrespect Eric Clapton, and I know he was inspired by Muddy and they were friends, but some classics like this shouldn't be covered out of respect.
Excellence must come with age. What a performance! You are on your game Clapton, and the drummer (Spinetti) deserves a bonus.
Too dominant. He should have listened to Willie "blue eyes" Smith.
I think spinetti is one of the greatest. What a show !!!!!!!!!
Only dominate as the set up of the band allows. The do sound test. I feel that may e ot was this way for Spinetti to "drive" the song forward
Spinetti wasn't dominant, my opinion. He was just feeling the spirit like he was in the "church" of Clapton and the history of the song!!!😂😂😂
This song has been played with the right groove ! Good job !
rare to see Eric on uptempo like that, love how he dealt with solos in uptempo blues
The tempo Is sincopa🎵🎼
Three things: 1-The band sounds great, 2-Mr Clapton has the mojo and 3-The importance of the harmonica in this song is absolute.
I love this, but it's just not the same without the harp.
Mindblowing drive. The drummer smashes it.
Like someone's said, he sure got the mojo. EC is inspired by the greatest musical figures. Words fall short when I try to talk about Mr Spinetti. I wish he and EC played regularly in the recent years and on from now.
I'd give my left one to be a drummer like Henry Spinetti. What a talent.
Absolutely fantastic, Forever great blues with Eric Clapton, Legend ❤❤❤💪💪💪
That drummer certainly had his mojo working. Heck, they all have their mojo working.
Great performance - the drummer dude kicks ass, plays like clockwork and in such a fun way !
Can't beat Willie Smith here.
Henry even sings the chorus
That drummer is one of a kind!
Ah the Maestro in top form; a stellar performance!
This whole session is absolutely stellar!
King of music.
Its rhythm is like that of a harassing steam locomotive. :D
Original 1960 Muddy W.
You can’t go wrong with a drummer like that!
Wow, the DRUMMER !!! He's a machine.
Nobody will ever beat muddy waters jazz fest 1960 .. but this was good
Great drummin' Henry Spinetti! After Paul Butterfield's version, this is the best I' ve never heard !
Check out Muddy Waters version at Newport
@@@benterprises7228 Ahh at Newport
Mike Bloomfield!
@@benterprises7228 that one is by far the best
Muddy would be proud.

No, i meant Muddy would be proud.Eric's version is a ball tearer.
Thanks man!

no he would not be so. eric has an average voice at best. he is a rather fine guitar player though.
King of the Blues !!! I like that Come to Finland !! Yeeeee
I really like the drummer and keyboardist, but they’re all super musicians! I'm impressed!
Henry Spinetti

The world tumbles down at the rythm of Henry Spinetty
Big Boss Guitarman nails it!
A masterpiece👍🎶
Clapton is God.
Jeez, I had keep checking that there was only one drummer, unreal !
Sheer class... go Eric!
The influence of JJ Cale is there!!!

Richtig gute Laune Version...
Genau👍
Chris Stainton has been around forever...........and rightly so.....!!!!
La excelencia voz de Eric
YEAAAAH!!!
Wonderful
drummer wenttttt
Pretty good! Then there is the Butterfield Blues Band, same tune , first album. The benchmark.
Agreed. Sam Lay sang that, I think.🤔 Another great drummer. He just passed. RIP Sam😢
Gran baterista como dicen todos, pero por muy bueno que fuera, ese tecladista se llevó la canción...
Un grande successo di Muddy , ma ritengo che anche questa versione di Eric sia brillante
That drummer looks like somebody cloned my 7th grade history teacher. He's some pretty hot shit though.
The whole crew looks like my high school...math teacher, biology teacher, no PE teacher
Something to look forward to in Old age, along with not giving a flying f**k about ANYTHING!!!!!!
Bam
che bomba ragazzi!!!!!!
Good drumm player👍🎼🎵
Muddy is smiling.......
And dancing😀
Not to disrespect Eric Clapton, and I know he was inspired by Muddy and they were friends, but some classics like this shouldn't be covered out of respect.
Those keys though
PLENTY CRASHY NOISE MUST BE AMATURE.
If heaven is bored, call Henri Spinetti😀👍
This group is flying because they are on a persian carpet👍🎼🎵

Anybody know where to find the tabs for this?
What song is Clapton trying to play ?
Drummer carrying them all.
Just read...losing hearing....hands screwed up...sad
Slowhand
Eric Claptons very talended but he aint Muddy Waters
I must say though that Eric and the band is just outstanding
yea, he is very good, but as you said he ain't Muddy Waters. He was the man!
Muddy is King...not Clapton...
Guess he couldn't afford a harmonica player, it's not the same song...
No harmonica, no mojo
Better Elvis's versione🧛🎸🏆
So different... Muddy Waters is better :)
No talent? What do YOU do in your spare time, I wonder..........
white boys playing black masterpiece. sorry, cant hear the soul.
Vocals too low.
So lame
Worst version i ever heard...smh...
Boring.. No emotion. Just a white guy shouting.
+Mary Palmens III Stupid statement. I can tell by the crowd how much they hate the performance.
Peter Mullins They're a white crowd, doe. Why is that? Because the music has no soul. Black people are born wth soul genes.
Hahaha, keep telling yourself that.
Just look at the audience. Black or White? I rest my case, sir.
+Mary Palmens III That's racist.
