good idea to have a flannel with multiple colors to confuse the audience
I personally think that this is the best solo material that we've gotten since they disboybanded. Hampton really nailed it with this one!

Slow Motion is a very special track
Fair. Matt's solo effort leaves more to be desired, but it definitely showed what he's wanting to explore sonically. Pretty good for a debut after BH. I personally enjoyed this more than any other solo BH release after disbanding.
Completely agree with this one. I am really enjoying it but there is just a little something missing to take it to the next level. Really excited for what's next. I think we are gonna see him grow a lot.
just happy the BH bois are putting things out there - its interesting also to just see them each evolve on their own as well, looking forward to seeing how they each move forward.

I've really enjoyed it this album so far. think it shows so much promise like you say. like he's experimenting with different sounds post BH and seeing what flies.
I loved this record. I think its the best solo material from one of the boys yet, and I loved Arizona Baby especially. Matt is so versatile, and you can hear it all over this with his wildly creative ideas. Slug is one of my favorite songs of the year thus far, imo an 8 at least.

It’s no coincidence Dijon features on aphid, this whole album has similar sonic qualities that Dijon and his team produce.
.matt was my favorite member, had no kdea he could sing like that, ill check it out

He can't really sing but he isn't really trying to sing on the record. It's just E/experimental but laid back on the same time. I wish he returns to rapping too :(

I pretty much agree with most points. Def not a flawless album but it lays out a lot of good groundwork for whats to come in his career and honesty getting the solo material from different members makes me less sad about the breakup

Personally i loved how he tested out different styles, and the more i listen to it than more i apreciate matt's talent, 8/10 for me

You forgot Producer. He produced alot of this album and on BH's TM.
There's something so uniquely amateur about the guys from BH that was a
originally an endearing quality but now that they're solo its beginning to bite them in the ass. They documented so much of their creative process during their early days and you can almost witness how they went from normal guys to cult icons. It really highlights how HK, Romil and Kevin were able to synthesize the greatness of each performer and mitigate their weaknesses
I don’t think Blanket sounds amateur. It’s very a crisp and high-quality sounding project regardless of what you think about the songs themselves.
I wouldn’t wanna do Mika’s laundry you’d probably find like… Grace Kelly stains and jt wouldn’t be a Happy Ending… ugh…. Kill me

This album is a meandering interlude that has interludes. I like a lot of the sounds and some of the pop inspirations, but there isn't enough to chew on.
