When i was little boy i thought South Africa was a country in Europe (the miss, the swimmers...there were all white! lol. I think Miss South Africa organisation should be more open minded,the beauty is not only light skin, long straight hair, blue eyes...This is Africa not Europe. Don't tell me the black women can't win the title more often. It's as if you are telling me in USA the black women will win the title every years although they represent a minority. That will be crazy every white people would have protested. But in South Africa there is no problem with that. I think it's a problem of perception, beauty perception: how the white people, but also how the black people over there define what is a ''pretty girl''. What criteria do they take into consideration? But congratulations to Rolene Strauss and good luck to Miss World and Miss Universe because i support Africa in beauty pageants, and you are a pretty african girl!
well that would be a good point but... she won the entire thing so I think the south africa judges chose the right person! and if they chose a black person just to be 'racially fair' then that in itself is wrong. They chose her because of her beauty and brains and she won it.
