Ok, so Damascus steel does not exist in modern times. What you guys call Damascus steel is folded steel. Real Damascus method is lost in India when English invaded that country. You can google ancient Damascus sword to see what a real Damascus steel was. Steel from India were used by world over to create really good quality swords which could cut through other swords.
"Real Damascus was lost in India when English invaded the country." That comment is not exactly true as we had some Damascus smiths from India display their superlative chevron-patterned Damascus steel here in the United States back in the late 1980's. So, obviously the knowledge to produce it was not lost and I dare day it's still alive and well. What you might be referring to is Wootz steel which, as I understand it, was invented in Persia. But that too is still being produced.
"You know what would go good with this wood? Some raw shrimp and paper"

Real Damascus is woots steel and not everyone can make that
what name the powder?
Chark or coke
Its called flux it’s most likely just baking soda its used to not have as much scale come off the medal
Boron acid or something tetraborate flux powder. Flux is used when join metals. Same use is also when brazing metals together.
thanks for all the explanations... 🙏🙏🙏
