I may be dating myself, but remember in school.... before we got digital, the teacher used to have huge a map of the world on a roll, that she could pull down from the ceiling. (also had a plain one for the projector). Why couldn't you do something like that as a design board. I know designers put fabric on window shades. Just a thought

I got my clearly perfect from msqc. I dropped it and broke the corner off the other day 😔. To get a new one sent to Canada is really expensive with shipping and exchange on the dollar 😔

If you have that happen again with the bobbin, rewind it. The bobbin may have wound wrong somehow
