Some people use it to shame others, some people use it to shame me. But I feel you watching ... always. And nothing I do goes unseen. So while I feel your stares, your disapproval or your sighs of relief, if I lived by them, I’d never be able to move.Would you like me to be smaller? Weaker? Softer? Taller? Would you like me to be quiet? Do my shoulders provoke you? Does my chest? Am I my stomach? My hips? The body I was born with, is it not what you wanted? If what I wear is comfortable, I am not a woman. If I shed the layers, I am a slut. Though you’ve never seen my body, you still judge it and judge me for it. Why? You make assumptions about people based on their size. We decide who they are. We decide what they’re worth. If I wear more, if I wear less, who decides what that makes me? What that means? The fans didn’t even pay attention to the message. I’m disappointed with Billie’s fans. I couldn’t even hear the message. These “fans” are screaming way too loud just because of her body. Not cool at all.
I literally could not hear Billie. That is actually disappointing. Like she felt like she had to do this. And even a girl screamed "I got everything I wanted" while she was taking off the last clothing item. That is sick not cool. That's just not cool.
I love the message behind this video. And I hope that everyone else does too and isn't all hyped because she showed her body. I hope that this message gets to everyone and that nobody has to be ashamed of who they are.
Love yourself on the inside, and when you experience body shaming it won't effect you...I don't understand this action...show the world you don't care, and that your body isn't who you are...takes her clothes off...I don't get it
Manifesto Mm So, when 14 year old girls who worship her start burning their bras and showing their bodies...they call it art...is that appropriate? Art yes, does show the female form, but she covered her body in a stand, to not be judged by her body. This is not art. This is an 18 year old girl acting like she loves herself, but really she's just showing off her tits. This isn't art when one of her 14 or 8 year old followers do it. I believe this is crap, and all of you are fooled by it.
That message was so powerful, the fact that all the crowd wanted was for Billie to show more is SICKENING! Billie, you are a fucking QUEEN no matter what anyone tells you. If people are body shaming you, don't like your music, etc...FUCK THEM. You are 100% made the way you are for a reason, don't let others disrespect get to you. She did it to teach a lesson, also you wouldn't expect people not to look at her that would just make it seem like people are disgusted by billie but I do agree with you tho some people in the crowd were cheering for how much skin she showed off but I dont agree with the fact that everyone in the crowd was cheering because of how much skin she showed some people were just happy that she found her confidence❤❤
How can a genuine person like Billie attract such a toxic and insensitive fan base like she does? It’s not her fault, it’s just the luck of what kind of people enjoy her music and “relate” To it. But like this is awful, the message was very genuine and something a lot of people need to hear and all they are cheering for is to embrace the VERY OPPOSITE of what her message was entitled to spread. Cmonnn dude.
My sister practically worships billie and she hates the toxicity of a lot of the fan base she told me “if Billie wants to wear more clothes she can if she doesn’t that’s ok to it’s her body” and I have to agree
This kinda broke my heart. I loved the message and billies bravery. However I hate that society made her feel like she needed to do this. What does her body have to do with her talent and music. Why try to change this beautiful and unique soul into every other artist, let her be herself. And i think the crowds reaction said it all. They didnt care what the message was that was being presented. All they cared about was seeing skin and sexualizing someone. I am sorry Billie.

@@whiskeytengofoxtrot9670 Where do I say in my previous comment that she wasn't getting support? I said that her "fans" are proving her point that she has been making for years. When Billie Ellish started her rise to fame blogs and news media kept criticizing the way she choose to dress which she responds with, "I don't want people to sexualize my body (not verbatim but something to that degree)." In this particular video, from what I can hear, it sounded like she was making a similar argument of not wanting her body to be oversexualized OVER her craft/gift: music. She wants to be listened to not seen. But instead her fans are screaming over her because they see their idol undressing herself. Its hard to really hear and receive someone's message/point when you're yelling at the top of your lungs over that person.

I think deep down she knew her audience is younger teens so she probably expected mixed reactions. It can be hard to make such a complicated point to young minds. Especially young minds that were never provided that point to by other adults before.
I hate how people were just screaming but they weren’t listening to her message and the girl at the end of the video said “All what I wanted “ like wtf I get why she hides her body like omg i hate this type of ppl they just wanted to see her b**bs
Actually I think the girl said "everything I wanted" which is one of Billie's song but it doesn't change how disrespectful it was to scream this when Billie was basically speaking and such on an important subject like women sexualization, those "fans" are really exhausting me
This is actually sick. Even the title of this video - “showing off her body”. How many people clicked on this video just to see some ‘eye candy’? Billie was trying to prove something, and the only thing the crowd did was encourage the behavior she was fighting against. People should respect her as a person, not a body. She is no different than any other person in that crowd, and yet they objectified her. How cruel is that?
@@MaybelWillemse maybe she knew what Billie thinks about showing her body and was curious about her message? she said how many people now all people clicked this video for this

_“Would you like me to be smaller? Weaker? Softer? Taller?”_ Just think about how emotionally abstract this whole thing would sound if put into lyrics and “transcribed” into a song..
Legit everyone completely missed her message. I love how confident and brave this video proves her to be. It’s not a thirst trap or strip tease. It’s Billie literally telling her “fans” “this is me, this is who I am and I know y’all are watching, waiting for me to slip etc etc. This is me and I can’t change that, I’ll be what I am if you hate it or love it.” The fact that her ENTIRE audience was just screaming and calling her sexy really bothers me. Like ofc she’s beautiful we didn’t need her half naked to prove that, her soul is beautiful. You can support someone and say they’re beautiful and whatever, I know no one will read this but it just bothers me so much. It seems like every time Billie stands up and makes a much needed argument no one just listens to h e a r. They listen to respond or in this case, just because they think it’s a “performance”. Good for her I wish her so much love and support. Absolutely not shaming her fans as I am one. Just a bit disappointed in the immediate response to an important message.
I feel like all her fans who say “you helped me get through depression” and that are the ones screaming and not even listening to her messages that helped them beat “depression”
it actually does help ppl with their depression and shii like that. my friend literally uses her music for therapy. and i think some off the fans actually knew the message she was tryna get across and they were screaming bc they were proud of her. but tons of ppl in the crowd were just plain up sexualizing her and NOT getting the message she was tryna bring across.
It was so freaking weird hearing everyone screaming when they literally just proved her point. People do not care about the message as long as they get their way. Wether thats showing off more or showing off less. You can never truly please everyone. Its just so unnerving how hardly anyone in that audience actually heard that message. Hell, I could hardly hear it. I had to go into the comments to see what the message actually was. (Thank god to the one who posted it) but this is just a shame. Not from Billie but from all those -the vast majority- who ignored or didnt get the message because they were too busy objectifying her.
I love Billie, and I think she was really brave to do this, but its sad that she didn't have a choice. Some of her fans were so disgustingly OBSESSED with seeing her outside of her baggy clothes and the style she WANTS to wear that she kind of had to spread this message. The fact that people were screaming and saying 'YES!' in the crowd proves her pint, saying that because she shows her skin, people will get excited and want more. Let her be who she wants to be.
I dont even know if they (by ‘they’ i mean fans) are there to support Billie or just to see what her body looks like, cuz they are just there just screaming Like maniacs. And i gotta say they are TOO excited to see billie’s body.
Yeah, I'm not even a fan of hers so I'm wondering if I'm missing something. I get she was making a statement, I wonder if they understood her message, or am I missing something? They made it seem like it was a strip tease wtf
The blindness in these people. They don't pay attention to this masterpiece she is singing, the message and morals she's trying to send. They are just naive and want more of her body when that's not the case. In Billie's eyes, she is sending a sacred and meaningful fact around to everyone. But in their eyes, is just a beautiful body shown. It's so sad.
I wish I could find a version that doesn’t have the screaming in it, it’s not only annoying but it’s distracting and I feel like it takes away from the message she was trying to give
She’s trying to spread awareness about judging people’s body and there just screaming and not letting her spread the message I’m 12 and even I know how to respect people even if there a artist and they might be wayyy older than me in the crowd but they sure do not act like there older
Same opinion,it just pisses me off. It's so stupid to think that billie is doing that to be "sexy" ,that would be meaningless. She wanted to spread a message not to be treated like stripper.
I want this to be reliesed on youtube so that people can get the message by hearing what she was trying to say. Cause the hysterical fans ruined it so well
Minus all the screaming this is such a powerful message about how we objectify other humans. Everyone in the comments is saying that the girls screaming is "disgusting" "sad" etc. and I think that, yeah, it's annoying, but it highlights the message even more. Those screams as she takes off more just help to underline the message she's trying to send. You can see how uncomfortable she is, and everyone screaming at her to take off more or whatever just makes that worse. So she has a female body? So what? This is why she doesn't show it off to begin with, and who cares if she does or doesn't? She can dress how she wants and honestly she's beautiful either way. Her style is unique to her, and she also has a beautiful body. Neither one is something to be ashamed of, but everyone screaming and literally just proving her point more. Y'all need to check yourselves and find the deeper message. She wasn't doing this for your pleasure, she was doing this to point out how EVERYONE objectifies EVERYONE.
that was awesome and true you put so much thought into that message only if she was here to read it I'm pretty sure she would have liked it you are a very thoughtful person and you think about how others feel the thing is you're right she did look like she was uncomfortable and to this day I still listen to her music because she puts thought into it she's just a wonderful person and unique🖤 🖤 🖤
My sister who went to the concert: I cried, she was spreading a message. People: she was spreading a message? My sister: yeah, didn't you listen? People: idrc I just saw her body!!!
I love her message! I can see that a lot of people are getting crap for cheering her while showing skin but to me, its just empowering, do dare to stand up to people and spread this message and to have the bravery to show herself despite what people say. I adore her no matter big clothes or skin showing. Thats the beauty; you should be able to do both, to be who you are without getting judged and to be able to decide what your comfortable in day by day. Im not saying some people arent cheering just because of her skin, im just saying, if i where there, id cheer, not for skin and not for anything sexual, simply because shes beautiful as a person and has so many important messages that can help this world and honestly, the way i view myself...so thanks Billie!
Omg ikr. I’ve never had a problem with what she wore. And how they started cheering when she showed skin... ugh. Whoever was cheering for her to show her skin aren’t real fans...

crazy for coconuts I think the stupid one is you. Every time billie removed a piece of clothing they would scream like maniacs. They didn’t even listen to the message she was trying to send. They were clearly screaming for her body and not her words. I think you should question your own intellect instead of other people’s.
“BILLIE YEAHHHHHH” it’s so so disgusting. She’s trying to say something and people are just cheering. It’s kind of telling her people don’t like the way she dresses and wants her to show more skin

Billie was not forced to do this. It's her own speech she wrote and her own video. People are a little over the top. She is removing layers of clothing, it's her top half of her body, and it's a black tank top and then a black bikini top/bra thingy and still she never shows anything. It's about the statement. I can't speak for what she will do in the future because it is done here yet but at least in this interlude she is not showing anything. Also she is beautiful and perhaps want people to see that and also that she is okay with what she has.
merel joosen it’s not really about letting... she’s a young girl in the spotlight and as resilient and outspoken as she may be, she’s still susceptible to losing part of herself to her label/ doing things she doesn’t feel comfortable doing. I also hope she wasn’t forced into this, but the person that commented this did make a valid point.
Ok, that was a lot deeper than I expected it to be. I mean, she basically said what I've been thinking my whole life, but at least she has a platform to hopefully get that message to a lot of impressionable young people.

Do you really know me?
You have opinions about my opinions, about my music, about my clothes, about my body.
Some people hate what I wear, some people praise it.
Is my value based only on your perception?
Or is your opinion of me not my responsibility?

@@whiskeytengofoxtrot9670 Where do I say in my previous comment that she wasn't getting support? I said that her "fans" are proving her point that she has been making for years. She wasn't doing this for your pleasure, she was doing this to point out how EVERYONE objectifies EVERYONE.
that was awesome and true you put so much thought into that message only if she was here to read it I'm pretty sure she would have liked it
you are a very thoughtful person and you think about how others feel the thing is you're right she did look like she was uncomfortable
and to this day I still listen to her music because she puts thought into it she's just a wonderful person and unique🖤 🖤 🖤
@@bennyboo5062 You made it seem like Billie was dead LMAO CRI LAUGHTER REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
@@ValkKirimo excuse me what???
PREACH
Objectify happens because of the person deeds
Omg can they shut up for once it was so disgusting watching all her “fans” screaming like show us more when she was trying to send a positive message🙄
Yeah it’s so “disgusting”
The crowd was doing exactly what Billie was saying about. This disheartened me.
Why is everyone screaming i can’t even hear here and that’s the point of the video for you to hear what she has to say about Body shaming
@Phimosis Jones excuse me!?

*_"Why is everyone screaming?"_* Because it's a concert...people scream at concerts.
@Alorin Yeah I'm aware of that. I was shooting for sarcasm. Sometimes that doesn't translate well in text.
My sister who went to the concert: I cried, she was spreading a message.
People: she was spreading a message?
My sister: yeah, didn't you listen?
People: idrc I just saw her body!!!
I just wanna see her
spread a message
yeah sure your sister was prolly one of the 14 year old n you just coping the comments🤷♂️
Man I swear I hate how people are just looking forward on to her body :(
honey x Then you hate me
she did that to herself u cant others because she does that on the big screen
Were should they look then?
Omg ikr. I’ve never had a problem with what she wore. And how they started cheering when she showed skin... ugh. Whoever was cheering for her to show her skin aren’t real fans...
Puppichino You literally don't understand the meaning behind it and are calling them fake fans?
She’s a smart person she’s trying spread a message. All her fans just care because ahe is showing her body. Smh..
are you stupid, they aren't screaming for her body, they are screaming with pride for her and that she has managed to overcome a big hurdle and speak out about body shaming and her fans are proud that she is speaking out about this. They aren't screaming for her body, I seriously question some people's intellect such as your own.
crazy for coconuts I think the stupid one is you. Every time billie removed a piece of clothing they would scream like maniacs. They didn’t even listen to the message she was trying to send. They were clearly screaming for her body and not her words. I think you should question your own intellect instead of other people’s.
MayJanna Joseph no, you can hear them screaming “TAKE OFF MORE”
crazy for coconuts yea that’s why you didn’t reply idiot, cause you know you’re wrong
Not very smart if you ask me...
“BILLIE YEAHHHHHH” it’s so so disgusting. She’s trying to say something and people are just cheering. It’s kind of telling her people don’t like the way she dresses and wants her to show more skin
do you think her opening sceene was taking her clothes off to make them be more quiet?
Even at the last part they said "this is everything I wanted" like bro 😡😧😒
oRaxxy she literally was speaking in a low tone, so yeah they probably were expected to be quite
Ending:
Those girls: AHHHHHHH BILLIEEEE
Me: holy shit shes drowning
Fax😂
She has the strangest fan base that I’ve seen in a while.
I would even say that it is on par with the Rick and Morty fandom
I think it’s sad. She was trying to say that she felt objectified and that people should stop caring about her body and they just kept screaming and cheering... like come on you are literally the reason why she doesn’t show her body.
Bucket Moth if she doesn't want people objectifying her she shouldn't be so hot and famous. You can't fight human nature
@@falcon6995 If you didn't want that stray bullet to hit you in the head, you shouldn't have sat down on your couch near the window.
See how dumb your logic sounds?
No one was listening to her speech. They were all just watching and screaming. How can you listen if you're screaming? How disappointing and disturbing
Billie is a whole new evolution of music and culture. Beautiful.
I feel really bad for Billie. She actually seems like such a nice person and I’m sure this really upset her :(
Same here
This hit hard for me because I dress more like a Tom boy just to feel comfortable, but I get told to dress like a girl because it's better then when I dress more feminine (for my own confidence) it's an "invitation" for being eyed on and creeped on . Billie had a message here and it wasn't appreciated enough, she's been made eye candy for a bit to where she can't dress how she would like I mean even something as simple as a tank top puts her on the label of "slut", just makes me angry
Same i hate my body im always wearing sweaters idc if someones like dont be ashamed of your body you cant change me
@@virginiaavina2475 I feel you on that, I wear sweaters a lot myself, I want to change myself for myself and my health (I'm a bit overweight), never change because someone said so, change because you want to change for you
Two things. One, don’t cut yourself on that edge. Two, I don’t think anyone wearing a tank top is called a slut.
@@tassos369 oh you'd be surprised
People:scream
Me:SHUT UP I AM TRYING TO LISTEN TO THE MESSAGE
this reminds me of that spongebob episode when the audience wanted spongebob more than squidward
omg YES
AHHHAHAHAHAH
But instead they wanted her body more than her message.😔
Those children screaming everytime she strips a little more - how to not get the message at its finest.
True Billie Eilish fans would care more about the message than if she’s showing skin. I’m guessing in a couple of days there are going to be thousands of videos about reacting to Billie Eilish’s sexiest performance 🤦🏻♀️
And she ain't even trying to be sexy she is trying to alert us.smh I was expecting better from the fans
yeah. They cleary didn't get the message. She's literally trying to SPREAD A MESSAGE ABOUT NEGLECTING SOMEONE FOR THEIR BODY. People failed to care about her feelings. They only cared about how her body was. Smh. 🤦
People like billie because she's "cute, sexy and depressed " but real fans like her because of what they feel when they listen to her
Those people in the crowd disgust me to why did this girl scream everything I wanted
I really hope she did this with her own will and wasn't forced to. We love you Billie!!!
I feel like she wouldn’t let people make her strip
@@honeystly_disgusting6393 Same, but it would be really sad if she did..
@@renaissancemarieaustin Yeah, thanks for pointing that out.
merel joosen it’s not really about letting... she’s a young girl in the spotlight and as resilient and outspoken as she may be, she’s still susceptible to losing part of herself to her label/ doing things she doesn’t feel comfortable doing. I also hope she wasn’t forced into this, but the person that commented this did make a valid point.
Bille’s body is actually so beautiful
I cannot believe people body shamed her for the way she dressed.
She is beautiful. Period.
They don’t appreciate the fact that she showed her body. All they wanna do is scream like they never saw a human being before.
D.D gotta love the locals 😜
The people cheering missed the entire point of her speech.
I feel like she was forced to do this by society
no ur kinda dumb for thinking that it was both her and her managements decision
That was the most "I'm 14 and this is deep" this I have read this year.
Actually illuminati makes you do shit u dont want

She just turned 18 3 months ago..... I think its more that than anything. Strategic planning if you ask me
Ok, that was a lot deeper than I expected it to be. I mean, she basically said what I've been thinking my whole life, but at least she has a platform to hopefully get that message to a lot of impressionable young people.
