DT Swiss seem to have an oscillating sound to them which I just noticed today since I upgraded to a 54t ratchet from an 18t. I'm not too keen on it now as it's so loud.
Hi.. I build wheels too..and I have proper equipment for them..you wont be able to judge by just looking on angle..it needs to sit on truing stand.. hope it helps

It’s oscillating because the wheels are extremely untrue!

@@prydin no it's not. All Ratchet systems that have "normal" springs because the spring tension on the ratchets is uneven.
It also occurs due to the accumulation of grease in a point on the hub, normally when the bike has been stopped for a long time...
