Gone are the days of Brahma, Bonafide and Cochise. In comes the new Blizzard Anomaly series for your high performance All Mountain needs.
The Anomaly 88 is our pick for the best balance of All Mountain characteristics for Advanced to Expert skiers. These things are a little easier to manage than the outgoing Brahmas, but let's be fair, they needed to be. Within the Anomaly are 2 sheets of metal and a hefty amount of power, but gone is the ultra demanding tail shape that made the Brahma quite cumbersome.
The construction of the ski is an all new concept in ski design. The Metal reinforcement is split over different levels, allowing them fine tuned control of the flex pattern of the ski. This paired with the True Blend core, that allows even more fine tuning, gives Blizzard a ton of customisation and tuning of each ski they build to the intended performance.
We skied this in La Clusaz in Jan 2024 and were incredibly relieved. Its got a ton of power and is completely locked in on piste but can still be manoeuvred by a good skier in off piste conditions.
    Who’s it for?
The Anomaly series still cater to Advanced to Expert level skiers and it is far on the heavy & strong side of the spectrum. Those looking for an easy going playful ski should avert their eyes now.
    Why we love it?
The Anomaly 88 is incredibly well balanced. It covers piste performance with a strong stiff construction but can be skied hard all over the mountain. It is the new reference ski for Australian All Mountain conditions. Blizzard is Back baby!

How would you say these compare to the enforcer 89. Is there any pros or cons for certain conditions?

I would probably say due to the milder tip rocker in the Anomaly they would be better on-piste, but honestly they are 2 of the best 88/89mm all mountain skis you can buy. I've had the old Enforcer 88 as my personal ski and loved it, and I'll give the Anomaly a try this year I reckon.

Did you ski shorter lengths too or just those really long ones?

Whenever possible we ski the lengths that we would choose for own personal skiing

Not really aples to apples but how does the 88 compare to the sender 94ti? Thanks Nick

Sender 94Ti is a great ski in it's class but it's not the full bore metal layer of the Anomaly. There is an Anomaly 94 but we didn't get a chance to ski it, but my guess based on the 84 and 88 would be that it would be quite a bit more beefy than the Rossi.

@@Aussieskier that Rossi 94 is a great ski.

Interesting, over the Enf 89 even?

I was a massive fan of the Enforcer 88, but I think I like the Anomaly better than the new E89

@RichardRoss23 fair enough. I liked the Brahma better than my Enf 88s too. Just slightly more one dimensional though so not as versatile.
I'd be interested on your take on the Armada Declivity 82ti and 92ti on piste too comparatively.

Didn't get a chance to ski the Armadas sadly. Another ski that is in the Enforcer realm is the Faction Dancer, 1 is 86mm, 2 is 96mm, 3 is 106mm. Relatively similar geometry with pronounced tip rocker and a solid construction.
