I'm still of the meaning that it should be decision based (whether you chose the griffons to be war animals for the Wardens or Forest Guardians). Forest guardians should mean Assan would survive and mourn with Rook AND his family in Arlathan. That makes sense to me at least.
@@dinounit67 Love this idea. But also, Assan truly bonded with Davrin, so I get it 100%. I think if you didn't do any of Davrin's quests it would make sense for Assan to not follow because they would have had no time for their Turlum to form.
Fun fact, if you don't do the companion missions, all the end goals are replaced with the companion's rivals. Like that Antaam general, that's the Dragon King if you don't do Taash's plot. The Juggernaut is otherwise Hezenkoss, the War Mage is usually Aleia etc etc
Heyo, Cinematic Designer at BioWare here - worked on it for the past three years, made a bunch of cool shit (lots of Emmrich stuff, made the Redeem ending, etc) and I just finished watching your full playthrough of Veilguard through your live VODs. I have to say: your playthrough has literally healed my soul. Your genuine excitement and reactions for the entire game literally filled me with joy. I'm not lying when I say there were a ton of moments where you were reacting to something I worked on and I had the biggest grin on my face. Thank you so much for this wonderful, genuine, heartfelt playthrough. You're a great person and now I'm excited to watch your Mass Effect playthrough. 🧡
Dude thank you so much for watching through all of that and for working on something I thoroughly enjoyed! I can't wait to play whatever you end up working on next!
Very happy that you enjoyed this game so much, your enthusiasm about it and engagement with it is such a breath of fresh air in the community! Can't wait for the Mass Effect adventures :D
Your playthrough of Veilguard resembled mine in a lot of ways, down to the romance and the choices I made during the final battle. I’ve very much enjoyed watching your Dragon Age journey and am just as excited to see you continue with Mass Effect!
hey MB, just wanted to pop in and say the playthrough was fucking awesome, loved that you loved it! also, on the Devouring Storm - it's actually mentioned twice before: the qunari navigator in rivain who you meet in Taash's first personal quest mentions "green clouds for the Devouring Storm", and one of Anaris' final lines is something about "escaping the Eye", which to me implies that the thing he was afraid of was the Devouring Storm. All in all, yeah, it definitely seems like the Qun and the Qunari are gonna be the focus of whatever comes next for DA!
Was an absolute pleasure to watch your finale of this game! I'm delighted to hear that you loved it. Absolutely CANNOT wait for your first Mass Effect trilogy playthrough!
I've played this game twice but I still got teary eyed in a few places watching this! Also, I love how Rook escapes the fade prison with the Power of Friendship like some sort of shonen anime hero.
The symbol at the end is the alchemical symbol for water and it looks like a tornado with the white lines representing rotation. It could symbolise Tthose across the sea are the gathering storm.
watching you play the finale was the most fun i've had in a stream for a long time. thank you for playing my favorite series with an open mind and an open heart. excited to experience ME with you!
It’s been so much fun watching you play right through from Origins to Veilguard. Your streams have been part of my daily ritual for months now! Excited to see how you find Mass Effect. In the meantime, will I be rewatching your DA playthroughs? Yes!
But he ended up making the right decisions in the end. The people who truly cared about him and believed in the good within Solas never gave up on him. While it was a team effort, it wouldn't have happened at all if Rook didn't believe in the goodness inside him. I love the Solas and Rook dynamic so much. I wish they would patch the game and give us a Solas romance or hints for a potential future one.
I love these compilations, such a fun way to watch it. Live is fun, but this plays it out like a narrative and ties everything together. Can't wait to see you do Mass Effect Legendary!
I love your reactions on everything. Especially when you see Solas do the right thing in the end and he seeks atonement for his mistakes. I really hope this isn't the end of him. He is alive and seeking atonement that has to mean something right? I am really not wanting to give up Rook either or any of the main cast in Veilguard. The friendships and relationships they all make are so lovely. I hope the purposefully place statement about the Veilguard still being vigilant is a big hint. I would be all for a Veilguard trilogy. Like Mass Effect. All I ask is for Solas to be a romantic option for any version of Rook. Their chemistry is freaking perfection, and it definitely deserves a shoot at something more. Slow burn enemies to lovers, let's go! I am glad you enjoyed yourself. I am also glad I discovered your content a couple of hours ago. It's a joy to watch! I definitely needed this, I myself just beat Veilguard yesterday. A WHOLE lot of emotions! I still can't keep the hype inside me down! Lol
solas and lavellan kind of makes things end on a sweeter note for me, because just mythal mostly getting to him is kinda toxic to me and not in a cute way lol (giving gale and mystra to me i'm sorry) but yeah, i do like his chemistry with rook as well but they already had him as a romance for lavellan so that would not happen lol but i do admit rook has the best chemistry with the villains in this damn game like why did i feel more chemistry with rook and solas/elgarnan and even the butcher LOL
Was fun to watch you play. I caught some of it live, some of it I watched rewound from streams I missed. Not often I watch people through the gameplay, I tend to skip to story beats, but it was fun to watch you have fun with the game too. I recall you struggling against the Felassan champion and bashing yourself against it, fun fight to watch.
Another great stream MB and I agree with your review! I have some nitpicks and criticisms (namely with the pacing and hand-holding/repetitiveness of dialogue) but overall it was a fun romp- the story was solid, characters were great, and combat was fresh and fun! So glad I found your channel! Have loved watching you on this dragon age ride and looking forward to mass effect :)
someone told me 'no one dies if you do their loyalty' like the suicide mission in me2 so i picked davrin knowing he'd likely want to sacrifice himself but thinking it would be all okay because someone told me rip now i don't know what i would have chosen if i wasn't given that 'information' so idc i'm going back and picking harding because i was going to do all the chests anyway but i got too impatient to know the ending (so i saw it as a test run anyway and i didn't know it was that long i thought it would be like inquisition so i was like 'lemme do this little mission') davrin was my highest level companion outside of my romance and that colored me a bit too i think it's good that there are real stakes but it's hard to know what i would have done without all this stuff i saw so this is why i'm like 'idk about this being my final choice' just because of that should have went with my character and picked who she was more close to to stay and she was more close to davrin and bellara versus neve and harding i think from now on when i replay i'll just make the person go who is the lower affinity with good or bad i couldn't even imagine what it would be like romanced, i'm curious of that as well
I'm gonna miss DA streams SO MUCH T-T Thank you for playing these games, but also gosh dangit they're a part of my whole personality now what have you DONE?
IMO the biggest issue of this game is its inconsistency. There are awesome moments and character writing but there are also really bad ones. Almost as if there were multiple writing teams or like as if some of the material was writen long ago by someone else and now less talented people just connected the dots. That and that it is not an RP game. Its an action game with RP elements.
I have never found an opinion that I have disagreed with as much as your opinion of this game. That being said, thanks for putting out content and lookin forward to the mass effect streams
Someday I really wanna know what’s so amazing about this mockery of a game… and no, “I love it” is not an answer. I get it, everyone is entitled to their own bad taste bad I draw the line here. If someone likes this game and they consider themselves a dragon age fan then they deserve each other. And the secret ending? The most insulting thing a writer can do to destroy the legacy and work of someone else, probably even worse than the “it was all a dream” plot device. Enjoy the mass effect trilogy and sorry for andromeda… but you’re probably gonna like it
Well let’s see I love it because it had a great story, definitely a much better one than Inquisition, and a great send off for one of the best characters in all of DA. I love the lore reveals in the game, especially because they were hinted at in previous games. I think the combat is the best combat in any DA game. The exploration is also the best in any DA game, especially again, Inquisition. And no the secret ending doesn’t ruin the previous games at all, why do you think that?
@AgiBunny sure, the idea of the story is great but it's executed terribly. And there's absolutely no way, shape or form, in hell or heaven, that the writing for the story of this game is better than the one in inquisition. (I'm not gonna mention how 2 of the 3 choices they felt they were important didn't even matter to spare you some dignity). Info dumping during tea time for them to repeat the same thing over and over just because the writers didn't know what to do with the lore vault that actual talented people left behind is a horrible way to reveal things. No pathos whatsoever. The combat is good, yeah... for the first couple of hours. It never changes, no depth or progression, meaning that there's really no difference from beginning to end game. And let's not talk about the companions that are basically accessories and how oversimplified everything is. The exploration is fine when you don't have to pass through over and over for quests or dumb puzzles. It's definitely better than inquisition, though. The secret ending takes away all player agency and was placed there to just get the shock factor from feeble-minded people. Feel free to share more of your delu... opinions. I'll be happy to share mine.
@@Choppete the story is definitely much better solely for the fact that the villains in DAV actually do stuff and feel threatening compared to Corypheus, they actually use their armies instead of whatever Corypheus was doing, the only time he felt threatening was the first time he showed up and it was because we didn’t even know he existed, Blackwall talks about how we can defend Skyhold in case Corypheus attacks, which he never does, and the Inquisition is always 10 steps ahead. Meanwhile the Evanuris can put the Venatori in control of Minrathous and you can see the consequences of that, bodies everywhere being carted, people being used for rituals, Shadow Dragons hanged everywhere you go, or blighting almost all of Treviso. The “info dumping” is exactly like the debriefing scenes in ME1 where Shepard gathers the party after every mission and talks about what just happened, why is this a problem in this game exactly? The combat never changing from beginning to end is a straight up lie, you have a whole skill grid with 3 vastly different play styles for 3 vastly different classes, what are you even talking about? And you keep saying these things like “ending takes player agency away” without elaborating, HOW does it do that exactly? Can you explain or do you just wanna spout some nonsense?

someone told me 'no one dies if you do their loyalty' like the suicide mission in me2 so i picked davrin knowing he'd likely want to sacrifice himself but thinking it would be all okay because someone told me rip
now i don't know what i would have chosen if i wasn't given that 'information' so idc i'm going back and picking harding because i was going to do all the chests anyway but i got too impatient to know the ending (so i saw it as a test run anyway and i didn't know it was that long i thought it would be like inquisition so i was like 'lemme do this little mission')
davrin was my highest level companion outside of my romance and that colored me a bit too
i think it's good that there are real stakes but it's hard to know what i would have done without all this stuff i saw so this is why i'm like 'idk about this being my final choice' just because of that
should have went with my character and picked who she was more close to to stay and she was more close to davrin and bellara versus neve and harding
