I just got the new MEV for Christmas. I am loving it. I have been reading it on my phone for a while, but nothing replaces the physical text. Coming around to being more of a TR guy, but one who does not like the KJV, the MEV is amazing. Side note, my pages are stuck together pretty bad as well and the gold lettering coming off. Nonetheless, love the size, red letter and the book intros! Great job on your review!
Thanks for the video. I look into the MEV on occasion. I love the NKJV but it, like the MEV, has a distinct lack of options with the apocrypha. The old KJV has several options available (as well as ESV, RSV, etc). The NKJV is still my favorite version, however.
The MEV is exactly the KJV, with every single verse that appears in the KJV, only updated to completely modern English. The KJ21 is also the KJV, retaining almost the exact language of the KJV, only updating a few words to modern English equivalents, because some English words have changed meaning since the KJV's 1611 / 1769 English. The best way to read the KJV is with the MEV or KJ21 beside it in order to ensure that you do not use a 21st Century English reading for a word that had a different meaning in 1611 / 1769, which could cause a total misunderstanding of a passage. Alternatively you could get a copy of Samuel Johnson's 1755 Dictionary of the English Language, in order to ensure you are reading the KJV with a proper understanding of the 1611 / 1769 English. ( The original 1611 spellings and text of the KJV were revised to more modern spelling and text in 1769, is the reason for the 1611 / 1769 designation).

I LOVE THE KING JAMES BIBLE ILL NEVER CHANGE IT FOR ANYTHING IN THE WORLD
Then you may really enjoy this version to compare with your regular reading of your KJV. Very enlightening.
