Unfortunately yes, unless you have a usb/thunderbolt docking station. In that case, you wouldn’t need to power it on every time.

To reiterate, this can’t just be a plug-in usb hub. It needs to be a docking station such as the Caldigit TB 4. Hope this helps 👍

I don't think that's a problem, I've seen a lot of Mac users who don't actually turn them off, which is kinda weird in my opinion.

Actually if you have a windows laptop, you can edit it on BIOS setting. That’s what I do. I scheduled it on the time I want to!
