Destiny needs to address his “I can’t keep myself from cheating” issue because it’s not great to get into a relationship in the first place because of said issue. Most rational people would take a step back and work on themselves not find a relationship that allows the bad behavior. I would argue that the naive “sweet summer child” take is actually thinking that everyone is a liar. There are people out there who actually live their life by a code of not lying. I would argue that the naive “sweet summer child” take is actually thinking that everyone is a liar. There are people out there who actually live their life by a code of not lying. I’ve met these people; if you ask them for their opinion on something they will sometimes tell you they’d prefer not to share it, rather than telling you a comforting lie. And very often they WILL tell you a very uncomfortable truth. People tend to not like them at first, but over time you learn to value the fact that they genuinely won’t lie to you. I’m not saying Destiny is definitely one of these people, but they do exist and it’s overly reductive to say that everyone will definitely lie.
