    I spent months with a physical therapist and could never engage properly. Thank you SO much for this amazing explanation. Wow. I am so grateful I found your videos.

    I've watched a few dozen videos on the topic of breathing properly while engaging the core. Yours is the first to give me something that I understand. Others are just too vague, imprecise, and worst, not based on scientific knowledge. I'm going to watch more of your content because my core muscles are so weak, the remedial strengthening work intended for childbirth recovery just might be a good place for me to start.

    I also find it very difficult to feel whether I'm doing it correctly when lying on my back. But my physio therapist told me that it's easier to do it while lying on your side. And I find it's easier to avoid doing the mistakes you mentioned while on your side.

      Same, but its okay! It just means that you need to learn how to activate your core proply, keep going though! I managed to get abs even without activating my core proply, never give up and try your hardest! And don't forget it's ok to ask for help sometimes, and to maintain your weight I recommend you exercise 3 times a week to easily maintain your weight, but it all up to the person who is doing it after all! Good luck and stay happy!

    Can it be too late to repair the diastasis recti? What if it hadn't been done soon after the first pregnancy 6 years ago and then there were 2 more pregnancies (also without any physiotherapy afterwards). Knowledge about the DR healing in some countries is really inexistent and I have a friend who believes it's too late for her now.

      It can be hard to feel at first. Try for a couple weeks to see if you can build up the muscles to do it and then often people will start to feel it. or a physio would be able to get their hands on you to help you!

    How can i pulling it in without sucking. I am so confused. Should i make it like someone is punching me on my belly and i squeeze my belly?

    • @PregnancyandPostpartumTV
      @PregnancyandPostpartumTV  3 года назад

      If you suck in then your ribs will expand. You want to pull everything in as if a corset is being tightened around you as you exhale. Your ribs pull in and down and you tighten your core (but not so much you could be punched) Just to firmly engage.
