“I bet it’s going to be hard infiltrating a Breen Dreadnought.”
“Actually, super easy. Barely an inconvenience.”
    “Oh, really?”
It did end in a high note. All the stuff with Rayner and the ship action was terrific.

it was barely 6/10 and now there is 0 time left to deliver the finale in an appropriate manner

It just wasn’t a good show. Right from the first episode it was Awful. 5 seasons later and we still don’t actually know anything about the bridge crew.
Ill just continue to pretend trek ended when Enterprise did.

I enjoyed it but was kind of confused how you manipulate a portal like it's a physical object. Like was there a little portal generator device? The whole idea of a race and counting clock just made me think of how the black hole would slow down time. But the whole "you could fit a Discovery in that bay" telegraphing was really funny to me somehow. I kind of liked the Saru stuff though and maybe the world building would have been better a little earlier with Tahal but not addressing all the Breen factionalism would have felt weird too so didn't seem as out-of-place to me.... I was also thinking that short for a Breen thing too, which was funny.

I just don't understand why the ship designers of this show love their ships to have such cavernous voids and open spaces everywhere, inside and out. Such a bizarre choice and really makes little sense from a utility POV.

I would have accepted a silly spore jump into the absurdly large cargo bay in the Breen ship to nab the device and it went wrong over overpowering their way in
But overall, it was a waste of an ep. They could've gotten Burnham and Moll through the portal in the first 5-10 minutes and stated the real plot this week instead of next

I'm not sure if folks have brought it up but I'm pretty sure they have but what about the Genesis Device. Everything thing they are in awe over with the Progenitors they could do with the Genesis device granted its unstable but still.

In my head canon, the events of "The Genesis Wave" Trilogy and "Genesis Force" all happened, thus that technology has been abandoned.

@@jamesknight3070 I don't know those particular stories. I just chalked it up to, in universe, it being like the spore drive and time travel armored suit. Basically if it ends up at the Daestrom Institute it ceases to exist in the history and collective consciousness.
Also as a side note but tangentially related. Is it just me or do the future folks not seem very educated? I expect the Discovery crew to still be playing catch up but everyone else doesn't seem educated they seem less educated then our hero crew. O'Brian would run circles around all these folks.

The writing is so damn bad...like seriously they are going to have a relationship conversation in the hallway of the Breen ship????

That oxygen tank felt like they were trolling the audience. But even more odd is the fact that we've been complaining for years that their tech was too advanced for a TOS prequel show. They had resolved that by putting them in the 32nd century and then they go and show a frigging oxygen tank with a little metal twist at the end that have been around since the early 20th century.

Portal is goes back in time 4 billion years. The progenitors are just genitors at this time. And they say "why do space babies keep falling out of the sky?"

Forgot to mention on the Livestream the ending line: "Let's do this" made me say: "Leroy Jenkins" just out of habit.

Good point about Raiyne's characterr being ultimately pointless and wasted; in fact, I feel like this has been a recurring pattern throughout the series, namely, a character or plot device is introduced seemingly for a particular purpose or direction, sometimes even an interesting one, only for that element to ultimately be abandoned or ignored

Not pointless if the character ends up in the upcoming Starfleet Academy series.

The first close encounter with the dreadnought gave the impression that this ship was monstrous, given the scale of the U.S.S Federation, it seemed Narada sized. The downscaling, the ease of non detection, really down powered the presence of the ship. So I am with the commander when he points out the shuttles non detection. It made the ship seriously flawed. 😅 was it the end of s3 when starfleet produced over 100 new ships? Where'd those numbers go? Yes I did find myself cynical towards this. The payoff is put off to next episode, and I suppose I've wanted more during the last half of the season and I keep waiting for something substantial to satiate the wait. I did enjoy the episode nonetheless, and while I didn't click with the binary star that started it all, I was drawn to the initial science around the 10c weapon being observed as 2 singularities. This season was always compromised by the sudden ending and availability of actors. (Doug was shooting a film) they have tried to give us new ideas, just stretched a little thin.

Its the major problem I had with most of Discoverys season and specially this - Its way to linear written thus making it way to predicteble. J.

Imagine strong wahmen in space with simps being the only males on board ship, it would be like that episode of Bear Grills where you have the men's and the women's desert island camp 😂
By day 3 the women were cold and starving and the men had setup a 3* hotel with pool room 🤡
