- An interesting paddle on the lower Medway in Kent with lots of things to see.
Launching from Gillingham, we pass Upnor Castle, Chatham Historic Dockyard, Chatham town and Rochester. We also come across an old Soviet era Foxtrot submarine!

Music is "Hurts So Good Blues" by Unicorn Heads.
You see the best things from the water and the Russian submarine was a beauty.
Yeah, amazing it's just sitting there.
Awesome. Good footage…
@milesbrown8016 many thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
Well! Familiar waters for me. Did a similar run back in the 1990s. Launched at Arethusa. lower Upnor.
Nice. First time we've done this one and we certainly enjoyed it.
Loved it, the closest I can get to water due to illness so greatly appreciated.
I'm sorry about your illness. But, glad that the video brought you some joy. Thanks.
@@travelswithpaddles I became epileptic from a brain injury during a motorbike accident. Unfortunately my medication doesn’t control my seizures anymore so can’t even have a bath but I’m lucky to be alive. I like watching mountain bikes and motorbikes and sailing all hobbies I love but are too dangerous for me.
@@richardjames9091 Oh gosh, that's rough. I wish you the best.
Where the hell is HMS Cavalier, are my eyes that bad?
Right, yes, it isn't super obvious... check out ruclips.net/video/2ZFjT1O1Gek/видео.htmlsi=Bt8_SIKShUICsxB0&t=240 and pause. Have a look to the right of centre, next to the tall dock crane. Cavalier is the pale blue-grey colour. It's only the superstructure that you can see, as the hull is obscured by the dock wall. Hope that helps.
