- The 2024 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, are scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024 in Paris, France. This will be the third time Paris has hosted the Summer Olympics, having previously done so in 1900 and 1924.
Some key facts about the 2024 Paris Olympics:
- Venue: The majority of events will take place within the city of Paris, with some events being held in the wider Île-de-France region. Notable venues include the Eiffel Tower, the Champs-Élysées, and the Palace of Versailles.
- Sports: 32 sports and 329 events will be featured, including the debut of new sports like breakdancing. Several existing sports like baseball/softball and karate are also returning to the program.
