At the first time we paid at least 5 times of this fares, after bargain :)
Later some times we had to leave the driver, because he said no to take us for a 10km trip for 120-150 EGP.
And you should have seen my face at our last trip when we took a cab from Fanara to Old Market (it is about 5 kms) with the invitation of two nice guys from the hotel staff, and at the end they paid 20EGP for the trip (they had to bargain too before the trip, but in arabic, and of course they were "locals").

Great video.It’s all good at the moment but they all had meters before and once they broke they never got them fixed,it made it easier to rip people off if they didn’t work. I never liked the meters anyway as they came out a lot more expensive than the prices I could personally haggle.

All prices in Egypt are governed by the Egyptian Government, so the prices for items in grocery stores have to be the same all throughout Egypt!
