Every single one of you has something to live for, stay strong and never give up.
Was looking for a way to hang shelves, but um gonna use old skateboards as the actual shelf
I've found that it's easier to attach the L brackets to the wood 1st then make the hole lines on the wall by holding the shelf up to the wall with the level on the shelf. then I'd put the plastic screw caps in the wall holes.
Adrienne Robinson good idea
Make sure those measurements are right. If you mess up after you put in your anchors you'll have to re do the holes in your screws. If you don't need anchors then it doesn't matter although I think I'd still prefer the way she does it because balancing a heavy shelf like that with a level sounds like something I would mess up and probably get hurt lol
@@nicolascuenca254 lol it always works plus my husband can help hold the shelf & keep an eye on the level while I mark the holes. 😉 it never fails.
@@nicolascuenca254 you could also clamp the level to the shelf so that it doesn't budge.
u would need another person to hold ti for you
Thank you for getting straight to the point. Too many people bloating their posts with commercials and dragging it out. Yours was perfect.
The "dry wall piece" is called an anchor. Thank you so much for the idea. My daughter loves to collect wine bottles and is running low on dresser space and quite frankly I'm tired of her room looking cluttered. Thank you, thank you!
This is the easiest one I've seen so far and I've been searching ALL WEEKEND! lol. Thank you so much!
Of course! Glad I could help :)
I actually used old boards from a deconstructed bookshelf to make shoe shelves in my closet using this idea! Thank you so much!
I clicked this video to learn how to do this but I found myself staring at you the whole time! Your eyes and eyebrows are so beautiful !! Girl you’re stunning 😍
"a wood part" that is called a stud, and if you want anything of any weight on those shelves you should probably find one, the tool to find one is about 20 bucks....it beeps when you move it over a wood bit...
They keep going off when I walk down the aisle.
It's a stud finder.
A magnet which is cheaper will stick to the wall where the stud is..
I feel my sarcasm was missed lol.
@@jenniferp.4057 correct but what you have found in the nails in the stud, which you will want to move above or under. also a magnet can find pipes and cables too. seen a guy on a job site drill into a steel sleeved cable bundle using this trick.
Your tutorial is very much easier to follow. Just what i needed. From Philippines here. Cheers!
You can always find the stud with a big magnet. It will stick to screws underneath the drywall.
Thank you for lots of great tips and your measurements of wood. That really helped. Need to make these shelves for books in my daughters room. Love your inspiration and positivity! God bless!
Looks like this is what im doing in quarantine today :p
Me too!!!
thanks, spent like $10 instead of $60 for amazon shelves.
Omg you are just the cutest. Your bubbly, positive, straight to the point ANDDD this was *100%* more helpful than any video I’ve ever seen? I am definitely subscribing
TheBritFix this comment made my night. Thanks for the kind words! I’m so happy to have you here ❤️🤗
Sydney Wolfrum Aw.. you deserve it. Can’t wait to see what you do next. ❤️
Simp
You can save some time & energy by avoiding the drywall screws (especially if you rent) and getting a stud finder...then just set the screws into them (just make sure there isn't any electrical wiring on that particular stud!)
This is great. How much weight do you think it can hold. I am thinking about doing this for my clear shoe boxes
Very impressive for for only having the basic tools. 10/10
Awesome!! Quick and Easy!! YOU Rock!!
Holy crap, what an absolute saint. Thanks for the help, I can't even tie a knot properly but you made it so even I can't fuck this up.
I like this a lot. Cheap and useful. Something I was looking for. Thank you.
Definitely doing this idea 💡
Thank you so much for this video. Precise, easy to follow, to the point. 4:47
Such an easy tutorial... thanks for posting!
5 years later this came in handy !
I'm so glad I found your channel. I was running out of space on my bookcases for my Funko Pops and wall shelves would look so much better displaying my collections on my channel.
Going out TOMORROW to see if I can find the support brackets!!!
The name of those little red bits you refer to, is called drywall anchors. Just as a heads up!
I actually really love your eyebrows that look great and full . Keep up the good work loved the diy 💘
Ge Ge Rose Thank you for this comment. I know they looked rough, I don’t know what happened when I did my makeup that day. So many people have commented negative things about it.. I appreciate you being positive and spreading love instead of hate. Thank you.
I love how simple you made it look! Amazing
Loving a *Handy* Woman ...well done. cheers
Thank you!
1:30 A wood part. Good tutorial. Thank you!
Awesome 👏 need this for my funko pops Thank you 🙏
Thank you so much! I'm going to make shelves like yours for my books
I did this for my son's room, instead of using a bookshelf which takes up space.. much easier!
Greay vid, pretty girl but who did the brows? Id slap them. Still thumbs up tho
same comment that hit up my mind
I love you too. Bless up
Great project but I’m interested in what miter saw stand you are using. What is it? How do you like it? I have a small shop and think this type of stand would work for me. 4:23
Unfortunately, my local $ tree store doesn't have shelf supports.
Lots of things weigh a ton in your world😌. Enjoyed the project. 2:26
Really cool & easy to understand. keep on posting vids like these. thanks
Thank you so much!!!
Are the shelves actually upside down?? Looks like the lip on the front gets screwed into the shelf the other way! Either way this looks super cute!
So easy and cheap great job love it 😍
I did bought 6f long of wood at lows and asked them if they could cut for me , and they said NO, they will cut only plywood.
You should know that the ton is used on metric and it is 1000kg, how much oz is that? :) 5:48
Love it, very easy and inexpensive!!
Thanks for sharing! This has been very helpful.
In the beginning he says you only need 3 tools, 3 minutes into the video he is using 13 different tools 😂 4:27
Love it! 1:58
i hope DT still sells these!!!
Hey man great video. How do you like that flexvolt miter saw? I am in the market for one right now for my garage so have been heavily considering the infamous Bosch glide given the low profile...but your setup got me to thinking I could just go mobile and not have to worry about clearance...price is similar too... 5:17
Thank u sweety 4 d video nw I got easier idea for shelf making without drilling.
Thanks nw my owner will nt know anything Wt I m doing inside d room.
you did a great job thanks
Is this sturdy enough to hold a full shelf of books?
probably a dumb question but how did you make a hole to screw in the wood?
Hmm, the hole that's in the wood? I just screwed the screw in with a screw driver
Sydney Wolfrum thank you for replying!! oh so i guess you don't need to make a hole.. you just screw it in with screw driver.
Marzee Imu I was thinking the same thing 😝
If its not hardwood you can screw easily in it without making a hole first. If its hard wood you have to drill a hole first or you risking a really bad crack in the wood.
So glad she's beautiful, I'm pretty certain she said "LEVEL-er", then proceeds to make pilot hole with a screwdriver... Love it.
great video!! Thank you for taking the time to film it : ) 4:45
Love the video and your personality!!!! ♥️♥️
love this! Thanks!
Hey Sydney, you haven’t posted in over 3 years. What happened to you? Are you ok? Have you changed your mind about uploading videos?
Ur video is amazing l am a student therfore I love diy as much I can💐💐
This is great esp for people who don't wanna use powertools anyway are the red thingies only to make a hole for the dry wall? Sorry I've Zero knowledge about this lol
They make it supportive if you can't find a plank in the wall. The most supportive way is to find the wooden plank behind the drywall. Since it's harder to find and since I wanted to place them in a certain spot I just used those dry wall studs so that it's more supported, if you put a screw straight in the drywall it may come out or fall down
thanks a lot! :) I subscribed!
Why can't I find girls like you? Great video and really simple to make. I think they would look great with some stain.
Yeah I thought about putting a stain on it but decided I liked the raw wood better. Thanks for watching!
Did you use a drill on the plank?
You deserve more subscribers and viewers! You're awesome!!!!❤️❤️
yes yes yes! I totally, strongly and really agree with you 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Really nice vid :p
She's so cute
so I've never seen the support brackets for a buck each I'd like to see that
4:35 loss my hearing using my earphones.
Lol my bad
Thanks for warning :))
Thank You
Christ you’re adorable
I now know how to build shelves
My goodness your beautiful 💙 but thanks for the video helped a lot
We're did you get the dry wall red things??? Was it cheap?
You can get them from lowes or Home Depot. And yes only a couple dollars
Ahhh ily❤️ Loved it!
it cost 20$ in my place, so this way is much better and funner.
Hi x quick question, do u reckon these could hold clothes ?
pristy itiacandy What do you think? 🤔🤦🏾♀️
where’d you get the wood from?
She said at Lowes
God you’re gorgeous 😅 thanks for the help :)
simp
I don't want to measure so I have to ?
would this be sturdy enough to hold storage boxes or large suitcases?
No, not the ones I built. but you can build some that would be. You would just need to get heavier duty brackets, and screw into the actual wood framing behind the dry wall. (Sorry I don't have better terminology)
Great, thanks!
Why do youtubers blab a lot but fast-forward the important parts?
nice vid sydney, sniff sniff :)
smile looks like mia's
shoutout texas
Bless the fuck up man as a broke ass bitch this hella helps 😤🙏🏽✊🏽
nyccccc:)
Misbah Khan Are you trying to spell "NICE"?
I know you can get solutions for that on woodprix website.
2nd ilysm
You're looking for a stud... Internet.. Do you're thing lol
i love u.. 😘
your beautiful
MyJayson19 you're*
eyebrows
I'm confused as to how this is a) DIY, and b) the genius idea the comments on this video think it is. It's literally shelf L brackets and a piece of wood....those L brackets are specifically made for this kind of shelving. There's no creativity here.
Thumbs fucking down.
